Never said other characters had to play like me lol. If a character is an undead hunter and sees an undead then by all means attack it.

That's the problem. Right now you can only politely ask it to leave.V'rass wrote:Never said other characters had to play like me lol. If a character is an undead hunter and sees an undead then by all means attack it.

Ask it to leave, then attack it if it does not.

You can't. Right now, there's no way to do this.V'rass wrote:Ask it to leave, then attack it if it does not.

That is odd then... a summon usually means the summoner is nearby?

Re: Unable to use summons as offensive spell targets
The whole point of the thread that you can't attack summons. At all. There's no right click attack menu, and you can't target them with offensive magic. So you can only ask them politely to destroy themselves/leave.V'rass wrote:That is odd then... a summon usually means the summoner is nearby?
So if a summoner hides (invis vs no-blindsight character, sneakmage, etc), there's no way to kill the summon. Aside from calling DM to help.
That's the problem.

Try using an aoe on them... last I heard an aoe will hit anything that is not in your party. If the person who summoned it gets hurt too bad... because evil, F*** yeah!!

Re: Unable to use summons as offensive spell targets
The recent update made it so that you can toggle hostile via summons. This helps people who want to attack someone else's summon, but does not fix the problem of being able to attack your own summons (an issue especially for necromancers).
*Edit: For what it's worth, AOE spells do still work. But they are treated as hostile (using Negative Energy Burst on an undead summon will heal it, but the undead will make a Will save to resist it).
