I would like to know a -reasonable- backstory for a DD of Istishia. I mean...seriously? Tell me that was not a powerbuilding choice.
There was one. IIRC: Young(?) unsuspecting(?) dwarf caught by evil(?) thayans which worshipped da flamelord.

Better explanation than whirling dervish classes (because evasion) on a fighter in heavy armor, imo.

Totally a powerbuilding choice. One can add some weak justification to it, like living near the coast, formerly working at a ship etc., but its a powerbuilding choice. I had a little more than that, as Neginfinity hints at, but it is what it is.

Not that its anything wrong with that though. People like to frown a bit on clerics, but conveniently ignore all the other powerbuilding or lore-breaking choices people make that influence their characters. Personally I set out with what I want the character to be able to do, then come up with a personality for the choices made rather than the other way around :)

People like to frown on clerics because they're amongst, if not the most demanding characters to RP. The class shouldn't be just a dip you get to gain access to EW and EDM.
Schrödinger's Cyricism: NPCs simultaneously know everything and nothing about Cyric until observed by the Cyricist. Then they default to the state that disadvantages the Cyricist the most.

If you can rp with that, sure, but it seems like our attitude is quite different, which is not a problem, I guess.

EDIT: And, just for the sake of it, how did that cleric get the DD training? Or he became cleric later? :D

Clearly the cleric domain list has flaws and errors, it also lacks in diversity for those unpopular Evil and/or Racial Gods (*coughs* Evil Animal Domains)

This is a perfect time to also update and fix the cleric domain list since everyone is doing rebuilds any way for all the other changes and before the 100% RCR ends...

Please do this developers and testers, thank for all your hard work
