I actually can't say the poll accurately represents my feelings on this.

I've played evil characters, mind you. My favorite was a bard that worshiped Bhaal with some family issues that turned her into a secret murderer of men she seduced and took out into the woods to kick off a cliff. Lots of fun, managed to keep up the act for a long time and turned into a very complex character that nobody wanted to kill PC wise due to her back story. Even after she killed a few PCs.

But uhm, honestly? I just don't have the time to devote to evil aligned plotting. Not that I can't do it, but my job is really chewing my hours apart.

Besides, I prefer to play good aligned characters. I like the convictions to go out and kill evil, to help people, to be the hero/heroine.

I also don't know what questions to ask when it comes to these longer, bigger scoped ideas. Hell, I have trouble enough getting my good intent actions some attention at times, and asking the right questions. Seeing opportunities to promote the 'agenda'. Investing double that amount of time to try and get evil aligned ones some attention just isn't feasible for me.

I play both alignments these days. If you see an Urdlen cleric that may be me! I was thinking of rolling a Zhent or Thayan soon as well given that we have some solid RPers in these guilds and I love the lore for them. An evil businessperson character is something I might do as well. Really, I would get bored of the game if I only ever played one alignment: a LG paladin can get quite tedious to RP in particular sometimes, so it is nice to be able to take a break on a chaotic or evil character instead. It's as if playing a brand new game every time I switch over to a different alignment and prefaced character!
