It's been a few months, but I still see value in this feature. It could be a lot of fun, especially given this character's flavor text.
Also, in case it's not completely obvious, he's named after Donald Trump's German grandfather and the flavor text Drumpf speaks are things the candidate has said on the campaign trail.

We'd probably want to remove the political jokes if we used this on the server. It's an interesting idea, though, and maybe Rasael, Frabjous, or Arakes could take a look at it to see about setting up a dynamic merchant of our own?
It'd be great if he spawned in random locations across the server every reset, too. A traveling dynamic merchant!

A traveling merchant? I like it! Could we possibly just ditch Mudd? Then have the traveling merchant give way better prices on stuff we sell too? The server norm seems to be 1200 if he gave 2400 that would be really neat! Plus it might force more RP interactions by having the PCs do their own used goods consignment stores instead of Mudd.

One step further, make all actions IC if not IG even.

I dont think this is a good implementation in the current economy.

the traveling merchant could be an old guy with a little wagon behind a mule. and he could randomly walk down some of the highways. when it reaches an end, he disappears to show up on another path an hour or whatever later.

If such merchant would ever happen then I say only option would be to make him appear in random location. Otherwise you'll have a mini-game where people log in their mules on static location asap after each reset to hunt for epics

If you can't SPEND gold well? Hells folks, I'm still tryin' to figure out how in the hells you're makin' so much gold to begin with.
I recently had someone in-game tell me and show me a weapon that someone offered five hundred bags for (That's 500,000 gold!)
I'vee NEVER see anywhere CLOSE to that much.
Spend it well they say....

Right there with you, Woodsman. I can get 1-2k with a solid treasure run, but I pretty much spend it right away!

The way you get money like that now is to find something good and sell it - like a mithril fullplate. Those are worth around 300k right now. There is a point however where money becomes of less worth due to this.
