I understand. And agree. What can I say, most of us are raised this way. We feel like we own everything we consume, even when we didn't pay anything or build anything in the server. It is a strange phenomenon that most associate DM abuse or just little outbursts to big words like Nazi Germany or police brutality. How glad are we to fight back such abuse in a virtual reality, because fighting it in real life sure is harder and more dangerous.

Either way, servers are in the works now. Players will troll before switching servers. Brace yourselves, it's coming... or has already begun.

I don't agree with what you wrote in that other thread or your viewpoints on the matter of how to be a DM. Nor have I ever RP'd with you or been DM'd by you. I basically don't know you other than I recognise your login and forum account.

But have a good break and perhaps we'll RP when you return some day, if our characters ever run into each other.

PS. I got nothing against you as a person. I just have a different opinion than you and I'm not afraid of voicing it, even if it makes me sound like a jerk at times.

It's always a sad day to see a prominent member of the community go. It will leave a hole in the server, like the others before you when they left, and your presence will surely be missed.

Player side... There was a strange and strained dynamic between Reine and Elvina, one I could never fully understand, but that made it all the more interesting and intriguing. I hope she didn't cause you too much grief :)

DM side... I enjoyed your events very much and I'm sad to see you go from the team, but I understand completely your reasons unfortunately. :( I hope the community (as a whole) realizes these reasons (among others that have been voiced by respected members) before we lose even more players and team members and it ends up being too late.

Enjoy your break, good luck on your PhD and I hope you can find it in yourself to come back one day and enjoy the game again.

Argh. The one time you helped me as Galatea I felt very lucky to have you as a DM. Sad to see you go now. :(

This is very disheartening news, but I do understand where you're coming from.

Nobody volunteers to help expecting to find themselves besieged. But you did great work as a DM, and were one of our most active DMs this spring.

We will happily welcome you back if you change your mind in the future.

On that same note, I'd gently encourage you not to permakill your character while feeling burnt out. I don't think it would provide your in game friends closure, and I worry that you'd regret it later once things have calmed and you feel ready to tell her story again.

Either way though, I wish you the best. I hope you return soon. Maybe even before we're all obligated to call you "doctor?" :)

I want to echo this.

In any case, thank you for your service to the community as a DM and all you contributed to the team DMside and all of the passionate RP that you contributed to the community with your character. Maybe you will return someday, but in any case I wish you well IRL.

I'm sad to see you go, both as player of Reine and DM Galatea. I've had wonderful times with you, and hoped to spend more in roleplay, serious and silly events.

I remember our first real interactions of characters those months ago, and every in between. Would have wanted to learn more with Reine, experience more with her. And by the gods, I'll make sure to see the last of the 'People's Paladin'. Don't want to see her go quietly into the night offscreen. :(

The words 'a least for now' gives me hope to see you return. Even if it may not be in the form of Reine or that Arcane Chicken. I'll miss that chicken... She better be cannon by now, a small legacy that remains.

Too bad! I don't really know you, but I do know you've been making things happen.

Whatever you do, have fun.

Reine still owes Mike a drink, so, yeah, she there-for cannot die yet. Good luck out there in the real world, and don't sweat the small things.

Revenark valued Reine's friendship, it was fun RPing and planning with you. Finding out your a dm explains why I rarely see her now. I was a DM on another server in the past, and I can understand the burn out, and all BS dms have to deal with.

At least give Reine one of those mysterious deaths like great book/movie heroes have so you can reappear later. Perhaps recovering from a soap opera style coma, falling off a cliff and washed down shore rather then eaten by Worgs, or return later as Reine the white, or better yet... don't leave ;)

Not good by but fair well for now

I didn't know you as a player, perhaps I interacted with you as a DM in the past - i'm not sure.
It's clear you had a lot of love from a handful of people here and i'm sure it was earned. Please do get better soon and come back when you're feeling refreshed, it would be a shame for a bad small minority to ruin it for you.

I have to say I've been here on and off for like 4 years and I've rarely had a bad experience with a player that the forums seem to portray as a common thing. Please bare that in mind, this is a great server filled with some creative, friendly and caring people from all backgrounds and you know who you are.

It makes me sad to see you go. Watching, no being apart of Reine's development as a character was enjoyable. The contrasts between Sveta and Reine were always fun to play and watch unfold (even if they were both a bit stubborn). Sveta trying to force Reine into a dress to attend the Cadwaldr wedding when they had only just met really set the tone of their relationship to begin with; but I like how they progressed to gain respect for each other's differences seeing them as strengths rather than weaknesses. Sveta and Eleanor shared dinner last week. Reminiscently it really did feel like we were missing a knight stubbornly sitting on the floor by the table.

Best of luck with the PhD MopKnight!

Due to the amount of work I did writing some stuff down for my plots I will probably have to stick around long enough to finish them. It is also unlikely I will be able to finish Reine's story off inside of a week or two.

I'll keep those people involved in them informed.

Sorry to see you go. :( I greatly enjoyed your work as DM even though I only got to participate in a few of your events. I can empathize with how draining drama is and the need to take some distance, though. Been doing that myself the last few weeks.

Good luck with whatever you move on to next.
