This video is infamous. I agree with him that the Head DM overreacted and just abused his power. But his actions weren't much better (talking back was just wrong). If you want some respect act accordingly.

Well I heard there were a few black sheep DMing back in the day. Never played much at that time. Only since 2012.

Anyways I wish Chambordini hadn't resurrected it from the Youtube ashes.

It helps to know the situation. The player was problematic and it wasn't his first problem interaction. The DM, who was head DM, was supported by all of the other DMs who'd dealt with him in the past.

The video just highlights the players ridiculousness.

You can call it abuse of power. I call it cleaning out the rabble so real RP'ers could join the server. It was a time when folks were waiting in cue to join because we were always full. If you wanted to exploit the game or circumvent the rules you got the Hammer. No reason alow those types of players to stay while others of a more RP aligned play waited.

Folks always want to relive the bad stuff and drag it on through when all the good you did falls to the wayside.

Black sheep? Maybe. But I did clean up the server at a time when it was populated with folks that weren't here for RP. (It was the transition between a light RP server to a medium.)

Whats funny is that every time I post something it's the same few people that bring this video up. More than likely I took a few levels from them at some point in time. *shrugs* Can't remember them all.

Anyway, no worries Chamb. I wasn't serious about DM'n again. You couldn't pay me enough to work for free for a bunch of unappreciative people. Hell, I hardly play this game anymore. Mostly due to the fact that every time I come back I have this shit to deal with...

Black sheep wasn't meant for you, Broham1. I was thinking about giving powerful items to friends, unless you did it too .
Anyways I really don't know what transpired, and if this player was just a jerk and had repeatedly been warned, I would have just banned him. And good riddance.

And that is selective memory, it works exactly the same with dice rolls. You will remember more the 1s than the 20s in your favour.

I'd say just let it rest. That is why I find it not acceptable that Chambordini brought it up again, as I already said before.
