To make me late for work. Seriously my neighbor has chickens and he is a strong believer in the "F it I don't care" ideaology. He lets them roam around until they get run over then he buys more. The only thing dumber than a possum when it comes to traffic is a chicken btw. The former intentionally walks under your back wheels as you pass while the chicken charged your tire head on.
