I will be visiting your humble temple soon to sign our names to this petition. I have begged mercy as you and your friends are, many times with the Dukes and in this case it is due once again. I have included a copy of my orders to the Knights and Squires of Tyr as well who will be coming to aid you all.

Sincerely,

Lady Elvina Aira-S'efarro
Knight Commander - Order of the Silver Rose

Telia would come by in the late morning as Ameris is working. She would read all the notes and shake her head a little at one. Reaching for a quill, she dips it into ink and pauses for a moment, thinking over something, before she elegantly writes her name at the bottom of the list.
Telia Santraeger - Steward of Pathfinder Hall, Director of the White Mask Theater, Editor-in-chief of the Baldur's Gate Herald, Priestess of Mystra

The sorceress would then step into the infirmary to offer her hard working husband a greeting. She would linger around the Temple for a while, offering kind words to visitors, serving tea and aiding with the serving of lunch.

After Vendor Xon listened to the sermon of Brother Ameris at the East Gate District he slowly walks home. On his way he stops by the Temple of Ilmater for to sign the petition.

"Vendor Xon, Forester of the Gate"

After hearing about the petition, Shandril makes her way to the temple of Ilmater around dusk, humming softly as she enters the temple and clad in blue garments with silvery threads she inquires about where to sign and meticulously writes her name on the petition.

Shandril Brightmantle, "Lunatic" Moonknight to the Swords of the Lady and Junior Instructor at the Bluesummer Academy.

Next to her name she draws an intricate symbol resembling a pair of female eyes sorounded by seven silver stars.

A small, blonde-haired woman with wide hips and a noticeable swagger would pace back and forth impatiently, waiting for someone to notice her and smoothing out her red robes.

"You'd think that acquiring bandages would take a little less time, wouldn't you?" she asked over her shoulder, giving the idle Sister Rachel an annoyed frown. She'd finally notice the petition and approach it, reading it thoughtfully.

"Ooh. I always wanted to ride a bandwagon," she'd jest to Rachel, her voice chipper, before giggling.

She would sign only a single name.

"Mercy"

Endelyon would step inside the temple, dipping her head in a courtly fashion to those inside. She'd make her way straight to the petition, appearing a bit surprised at the amount of signatures it had already, and signing her own name with a slight smile.
"Endelyon Castillo"

A golden-eyed and blond Squire to the Order of the Silver Rose would be seen preparing some notes in the Pathfinder Hall, sitting on a couch next to the picture of Mielikki in her free time.
Sometimes asking Brother Ameris and Lady Telia when she would be unsure how to word certain passages, if they are around.

The notes would be about two speeches. One regarding the Flaming Fists and the other the Watchmen of the City. People in the Hall would overhear words like fairness towards the less fortunate. Justice and mercy being key words.

A small piece of paper has been placed under the petition, reading thus:

"One should be bold; to be bold is to live.
This includes charity, so be bold when you give.
This is a recent petition, for the dukes to change our laws.
Why is this needed, can we ourselves not champion a cause?
The laws promote business, the laws deter crime.
And I for one think, it is well beyond time.
That we call to our fellows, like you and me, who live quite well.
To give more to the meek, whom misfortune doth quell.
Put not your faith in the good intent of politics.
For this is a problem we should come together and fix.
So I call to you again, is lawmaking where we start,
When perhaps all that's needed is a simple change of heart?"

Curiously, in place of a signature is only a small image, consisting of what appears to be animal dung embossed in gold leaf, followed by a cartoonish image of a winking, smiling face. ;)
