Thank you for your replies.

It is possible to kill them with 3 Characters.

I (played two Characters, A 25bard and a 27healer) and my friend J006(30Paladin, total 3PC) killed the Icedragon in 15mins. First, you have to tank it (AC,DR,DI and reg).On the other hand, you have to do real dmg(WM or EDM).

OK, it seems that it is impossible to solo the dragon. Let's go back, is it possible that we can kill him with 2 PCs?

An EDM cleric with a hym bard?
A WM dragonslayer with a healer cleric?
Or a self buffed healer tank cleric with a warlock?

I assume you are asking this because you have the ability to use a bot player and operate two PCs at once. I am not sure that is legal here at BG. I would talk with DMs or Admin a bit more and get clarification on that. I vaguely remember that being a no go here once upon a time when having a healing bot with you was all the rage.

That's BS man - having bots has got to be against the rules! If not that, then definitely against the spirit of the PW. Borderline cheating IMO.

I attempted it via summon spawning via scrolls and repeatedly buffed them.

On hour 3 and it only being reduced to ~ 70% HP I gave up.

A WM/FB that focuses on AC, damage, with a lot of UMD items (scrolls, heal pots, wands), coupled with a healer bard with both the song and an insane HEAL skill (Healing for 200+ per round) and giving the AC song would be the best imho.

Easily duoable. We just needed a good reason. ;)

I theorycrafted a few different builds that might try it. One was a bard, one was a warlock and the most likely candidate was a dwarven defender.

Im glad it isnt soloable. Some fights should have that party emphasis and so far this is the only thing in the module that is not soloable, more of that I say  (and yes im happily excluding dungeons that require 2 to enter in that equation, since the fights themself are soloable).

I have been contemplating a lot of different tank builds to tame this beast and I was genuinely disappointed (and a bit happy) to see it tanked by a bard without breaking a sweat. We were 10 people though and it still took roughly 10 minutes to kill it, a very smooth kill though as the healer only used a single heal I belive.

Anyways, on the loot front its bloody random and I actually found 3x +4 Items in the chests, so who knows, one could get lucky ;) (I didnt, since i was a banded mail, leather armor and medium shield, but what are the odds <.<)

That was long time ago. Now I am focusing on my FS farming. And I found everything except the dragon can be soloed by him. So I came to ask the question. No offense.

No offense taken! You are right a FS can solo everything except that. It is a team battle really. I would love to find more people to do it with more often. I have beat it once with some old friends once upon a time. There were about 7 of us. A FS, Sorcerer, 2 Wizards, bard, paladin and myself. I do not remember what my build was at the time either. Most likely something vastly bad as I did not understand how to build on NWN2 at the time.

you use to be able to solo him fairly easily because of some glitches and such and he wasnt such a powerhouse, but after like 5 different beef ups and AI changes/glitch fixes yea no mo solo :P

one nice thing that was removed from him tho i believe was the 20/addy DR he use to have, took it off so everyone could help kill it since he is such a pain now
everyone is evil till proven otherwise

It's legal-ish, in the sense that there's no rule against it. There IS a rule that your PCs can't have communication with one another, but the spirit of this rule is to prevent "off-scene" metagaming of information between PCs that were not present when the information was learned.

A few players have done this. Some of them were honest about it, others have even pretended to be two people OOC and created some pretty great RP by just back-and-forthing between their own two characters. Basically, at the end of the day, the people who have done this aren't hurting anybody's enjoyment as long as they are remaining IC.

What would cross the line for me would be using a two-box setup to follow your level 1 character around with an AFK-tagged level 30 character warding them for bear. This would fall under our "exploitation" rule and is definitely poor form.

He didn't say he was botting. He said he was playing two characters.

Did it with 4 PCs recently. It was dwarf+bard+cleric+wm, and it was an overkill - killed that dragon in 2-3 minutes.

I've tried since to find another group to try it with 3 pcs, but never found enough willing in the same period of time.

Right on thanks for clarification! So long as I do not AFK tag my level 30 I am good right?

I take it the dwarf was a dwarven defender which of course makes the best tank in the game, EDM cleric?, if I remember correctly your WM is pretty good as well. Does a ton of damage in a short time.
