Yes, that's right. It's always an expensive project to recreate one. All your gold goes into getting your lost spells back again.
Speaking of which, is that something we have to cop on the chin? I mean all the other classes get free RCR (XP and GP!)...

UD list added after scouring the forums for it. It's an embedded link in the 'spoiler' OP.

Spell scribing is now working (you must use the Study Spell feat found under the Class Abilities feat tab), although I am experiencing some bugs with it, ie. many spells on the list that are marked as scribable are now impossible to scribe.
Good luck, magelings!

Had trouble with Superior Resistance.
Edit: And thank you for this!

Spells are scribing properly to scrolls now. Yay!
There are still some issues with scribing scrolls to spellbooks, though.
Original post retained below for reference.
Working list of spells that used to be able to be scribed to a scroll but now cannot.
NB: I am
-not- talking about scribing these spells from Inventory to Spellbook (ie. learning new spells)
Post additions below as you find them and I will update here.
Please focus primarily on spells in the master list that are unavailable in stores.
Unavailable spells that -cannot- be scribed correctly (and used to be able to):
- Avasculate
Cacophonic Burst
Disintegrate
Extract Water Elemental
Flesh to Stone
Greater Fireburst
Greater Reduce Person
Hiss of Sleep
Improved Mage Armor
Iron Body
Least Spell Mantle
Mass Hold Person
Mass Hold Monster
Mass [Bulls Str, Cats Grace, etc. They're all broken]
Meteor Swarm
Power Word Disable
Power Word Blind
Power Word Petrify
Superior Resistance
Touch of Idiocy
Vitriolic Sphere
Wall of Greater Dispel Magic
Unavailable spells that -can- be scribed correctly:
- Balagarn's Iron Horn
Resist Energy
Magic Circle vs. Alignment
Summon Creature IV
Lesser Mind Blank
Lesser Planar Binding
Bigby's Hands (all, 5th-9th level)
Mass Charm Monster
Power Word Kill
Mordenkainen's Disjunction
Dominate Monster
Shapechange
Greater Sanctuary
Ethereal Jaunt

Scribing C/C to spellbook doesn't work. It fires the spell dialogue instead (choose listen, spot, or no choice).

Choose no-choice and I think it will complete the spell properly. I had to do this when attempting to create a scroll of Lesser Planar Binding. After casting it for 3 rounds the box popped up. I selected 'no choice' and the spell completed and deducted my gold. I'm hoping this works in reverse for spells being put -into- the spell book.

I've tried scribing store bought scrolls with multiple outcomes in my spellbook, i.e. Polymorph Self, Shadow Conjuration and Greater Shadow Conjuration. It did not give me an option (at least I did not see it) to "no choice" so I had to select one. The I made a selection and this what it said in my spellbook: Polymorph Other: Blade Spider. When right clicking to read the description it said "Bad sref" or something similiar to that.

Oh, the spell count is still capped at 255? Just wanted to confirm that; I had heard the cap was fixed so we could take as many spells as we wanted?

Gotcha, thanks.

Anyone on the team working on a "Hak" that might allow a RcR'd Wizard's complete spellbook to be transferred to new build?

That would be a tough one to do if NWN2 is anything like NWN1. Spell stuff is saved in a PC's .bic file which would require mining the file, saving the info, and re-embedding it back into the PC. I'm sure it's possible but it's more for the NWNX community than it is a regular .hak file. I could be totally wrong if that's not how NWN2 works, so take it for what it's worth.

I don't have many spells on the list, but I do have Improved Mage Armor and scribed that to scroll, worked ok. Asked me to set CL and scribed the scroll, but doesn't state the effective CL on the scroll so don't get them mixed up

.
Some summons spells seem to scribe to book now as well, I added store bought I, II and III (selecting different astrals and celestials) to my book, however I tried a VI I've been carrying for a while (pre-update), chose an elemental (??) and that didn't scribe just created the summon.
BigJ
EDIT - Nipped into to HH for first time and had sudden flashbacks to BG1, forgot about that wizard

. Anyway, bought summon VI, selected Astral this time and didn't scribe the spell, just created the summon, 'no choice' also failed.

Gate can't seem to scribe into a spellbook; can't learn it. :/
I selected "no choice" and nothing happened.

Please post this in the bugs forum so Rasael and Duster see it... I thought the summoning issues were fixed but maybe they missed gate...
