i joke as for new races, i'm always open to more options, as long as they fit lore. but do be careful about adding more versions of a race that already has a heavy following. we want a broad spectrum of played races

I am not sure i see how to many elves is a reason not to add it, If we had limited races sure but we don't.

Agreed. I don't have a strong opinion on this, but I voted "yes" simply because likewise I don't see any real imbalance in the addition (other than what Karond pointed out about most ECL 0 races ending up with a +0 instead of a +2--maybe it could be tweaked or nerfed somehow to fall in line with the rest?)Ariella wrote:I am not sure i see how to many elves is a reason not to add it, If we had limited races sure but we don't.

Genasi should be +0 ECL. Or keep the ecl but have one of their ability penalty removed.

If we decide to add anything, it will have to pass QC (where it will be debated by highly trained mathematical specialists and number crunching enthusiasts) before it is implemented.

Personally, I absolutely adore fey, fey oriented stuff, and especially a fey sort of playable race. Love em!

You can basically already play fey-touched creatures by taking the fey heritage feats, or playing a spirit shaman (the level 20 ability technically makes you part fey). You don't need a new race for it.

I would like it for the stats which benefit Warlocks, not really any other classes that give a boost like that except Drow and it has a stupid ECL.

I doubt he will answer that. Kaedrin is out of the nwn2 game, last I checked. He mentioned that when he was pulling out of Dalelands Beyond. But, you could ask anyway. It wouldn't matter either way. Or maybe he just quit DB! I'm not saying no to any of Kaedrin's content, just "we'll want to talk to him about it first." Ours is a small community and I want to make sure that all of the community's content creators are comfortable with our use of their content.
Kaedrin's a titan of the NWN2 community, and he did amazing work when he was on staff here. I consider him a friend. We even seriously thought about converting NWN2's 3.5 ruleset into a Pathfinder RPG ruleset once upon a time (and he even started work on it). If he'd rather we not use his work anymore than we are already, then I will respect his wishes.
Either way, an "I don't care" isn't quite the same thing as a "go ahead." And I'd just be a lot more comfortable talking to him directly before giving my own go-ahead on the inclusion of new Kaedrin stuff on BG.

I didn't even know kaedrin had a falling out with the staff :/
I voted no because these would need to be balanced first and from the sounds of it all that might get changed is ECL which is French for "levels slower".
