For the last several weeks a group of 6 Flaming Fist have been meeting in the Arena north of Baldur's Gate in the early morning and in the evenings almost every day.

The group meets a man in darker armor with copper trim and is drilled in personal and small group combat techniques designed to enhance both teamwork and personal skill.

For the first but bit of time, it isn't clear why the Fist are meeting him and being trained by someone clearly not in the Flaming Fist. After a while, however, it becomes known that this is training provided by the Bladestone Foundation and the trainer is the Deputy Headmaster, one Derik Ranloss.

An invitation is delivered to all members of the Bladestone foundation. Not to overlook and very colorfullly painted.

We will see to have the most timezones covered so as many peeps as possible can attend.

A note is tacked up around the city, roads, and farmlands informing passerby's that the Bladestone Foundation will be running an open training session.



A drawn map is either handed out with or tacked up next to the poster.

Ronja strolls through the docks and unlocks the schools warehouse before entering it.
Once inside, she tacks a poster up on the notice board for all its members to see.

Sounds of clashing metal and magic being cast could be heard by anyone nearby the arena at Baldurs Gate on the 7th of Kythorn. Those who asked would know it as having been a closed class between the Bladestone Foundation and the Sword Coast Guild of the Arcane.

Along the Lion's Way today, the Bladestone Foundation had a ceremony to break the ground on the location they will be building their new facility in the weeks to come.

The group met at the Campsite near Candlekeep and had in attendance a few members of the Bladestone, some members of the neighboring Candlekeep, as well as others who were both interested in the school and those that just showed up to see what the commotion was. All were welcome.

After a short speech, Derik Ranloss, the Deputy Headmaster of the Bladestone Foundation, did the ceremonial few shovel fulls of dirt.

After that, everyone went back to the campsite for free refreshments, some brought in from the Last Anchor, and some provided by a local cater named Sandra.





There was talking, a little bit of training, and eating. All while the Shamaness and Archer known as Lannia Ranloss kept a watchful eye for bugs and ogres.

The group then ended the party a bit early as most went to join the call for aid from Beregost to fight crazy huge wolves that had been plaguing the area while Sandra took the leftover food to Candlekeep to be picked up by the Deputy Headmaster at a later hour.

Along the Lion's Way, construction of the Bladestone Foundation is well under way.

Derik Ranloss, the Deputy Headmaster, was seen inspecting the construction as well as guarding the workers from the local dangers.

-Between Noon and midnight. -
A blonde Sun Elf walks up to the construction site and greets the workers. Learning their names with sweet smiles and light conversation, as she builds up a tent and prepare a campfire for the evening.
Sitting or standing by the tent. Lylan'Synor patrols regularly around the perimeter.
Guarding the workers from any Ogre, Beetle or anything else that might come to close and endanger them or the site.

Throughout the the Day patrols of Guards and vigilant travelers along the road helped see the Site relatively safe.
Travelers on the road were met with sweet and polite greetings by the Sun Elf. Herself ramining vigil with her ears pricked to any sound that might indicate coming danger.
Some Nodded as they passed. Some stopped to talk with her. Asking about the Bladestones and the construction to friendlier conversations on other topics.




As Dusk turned the sky orange and the sun began to set. Lylan'Synor stretched her muscles, Pleased that Most of the day passed with little trouble.




As the Sky darkened and the Moon came out the monsters of the Lion's Way grew bolder.
Free of the heavy traffic that made the scurry under the sun.

One managed to get close to one of the workers who was on his break.
With a loud whistle she called the worker to flee her way.
Jumping and dancing around the Beetle to expose a chink in it's chitin...




meeting it with the deadly tip of her blade.




Close to midnight the Lion's Way falls quiet save the chirping of cicadas and the waves crashing the the cliffs.
The Sun Elf would sit crossed leg in front of the tent.
Glancing backwards at the progress of the day since she got there she nods to herself, appreciative of the skilled hands that labored all day.




Checking the moon for when she can tell them good night and see them safely on their way and have herself a well deserved glass of wine.

[parchment]near the construction site of the Bladestone Foundation Academy , 3 wood elf was standing in the tree, looking, they ambush was about to spring ... a lonely Ogre was about to attack the worker but in a flash of red, the three elfe plunge down to attack the Ogre before he can began his attack on the worker.

the member of the Blood Cloaks of Shevarash dispatch the ogre before the worker could realize they were in danger. the rest of the night when wit out a incident.

After inspecting the newly risen walls of the Bladestone, the Deputy Headmaster spoke with the workers a bit.



He then moved on, but was back shortly afterwards. Apparently, he was angry that the gnolls nearby had grabbed and killed a woman traveling through the area with her family. He stood guard for the rest of the day and the night, fighting off bandits and bugs, determined that it his workers make it home in one piece.

Very recently, the building that was being constructed on the Lion's Way, the Bladestone Foundation, has had the exterior completed and the external walls constructed.

While the Interior of the school and the inn are still under construction, for those who are traveling on the Way and wish to seek some rest behind the walls of the Foundation, they are welcome to do so!

From now on different people associated with or known to be Bladestone Foundation lecturers start making their way into Baldur's Gate daily with morning and evening alternating times. Their goal the Flaming Fist headquarters after which they can be seen teaching and practicing with the Flaming Fist and Watch forces. Those people will variously be Derik Ranloss, Kayle, Lylan'Synor Syr'Asiryn and Niyressa Dawncrow.
