Tailoring my suggestion to the following and edited for clarity:
- • Remove the on-cast spell effect flash on the ground for all spells
• Icons for all friendly spells only visible to yourself and your party
• Icons for all hostile spells unaffected and thus viewable by everyone

Big thumbs up!

A solid ideal and thank you for the conversation.

Please God yes, make it so if I have wards on when stealthed people won't be able to see that annoying area transition flash.

I think all those effects are annoying, and distracting.
I for one would love to see them go.

some of the persitent spell visuals I think should definitely go or be changed,
also. if a spell is cast Silent, then it should mute the sound effects
and Definitely when entering a new area

Casting spell as silent actually has intended effect -> your character does not chant the spell when casting.
Also, it is worth keeping in mind that "silent spell" does not make the spell silent. It simply removes verbal component, meaning the caster doesn't need to chant. So you can silent cast soundburst, and it will still go "boom" as intended.

Isn't the feat silent spell suppose to help you get around being silenced. So if your silenced you can cast the silenced spells.
Also spells unless they state in discription they have no physical manfisagion (color and lights). Then they do in lore. Many people think it's the other way around. But that's untrue in the cannon and lore of forgotten realms/and really all of d and d worlds. Even spell jammer and chain mail.
I am in favor of a feat like Invisible Spell. Where it's two higher to cast and your spell can't be seen.

. Wouldn't be surprised if it already existed in some obscure book.

Spells flashing on transition for hidden/invisible folks is a game mechanic that lends itself to possible metagaming.
This game was mostly intended a single player / small scale cooperative game, so many of the mechanics you see and have become used to were not really vetted for a persistent online world by Obsidian when they made the game.

Sure
But in lore magic is not invisible. It's very real and in your face unless stated other wise. Stone skin your skin is stone. Protection spells are not invisible. Even true sight has balls of light around your head or your eyes them selves glow. I think in magic of faerun they talk about how wizards can chose and alter looks of spells. Some even have regional appearances or school signitures. In fact wizards even boast spell shape and design.
Anyways the worst meta game offense is the lack of MS on invisibility or the spot detection DC

I remember a time, when that did not happen here
Can't say why it was added.

Really? If it wasn't happening it's because of a custom alteration to the engine to prevent it. The "Flash" is an out of the box game feature. If someone found a way to prevent it at one point, its likely that it was removed or unintentionally broken.
Those sorts of things are prone to happening.

True. It is entirely possible to recognize some classe by the sound they make while entering the map when warded - while being half the map away. But I'm not sure if this is fixable.
