well its also probably more related to the fact that non sneaks dip into an evasion class to get EW more than the sneaks do

EW is an issue all its own usually but evasion isnt suppose to work with medium or heavy armor anyway so its suppose to be that they are dipping into a class and getting a useless feat but instead they are getting two decent ones

Oh, I need to explain myself.

This makes sense, a lot of sense and it mitigates the abuse of Expose Weakness by strength builds. I am for not changing Expose Weakness because I like to play Dex builds with no sneak dice and most people want to remove the auto hit because they don't like getting auto-hit by a strength based falchon wielding weapon master. Again, this would mitigate the butt hurt and make pure roguish types (not power builds) more desirable.

Yeah, it would badly hurt most simple fighter and barbarian builds (with the feat).

Spellcasters on the other side would still be strong .........

EW is another matter and discussed in another topic.

Not sure if this is exactly in line with the new rules or if I'll have to make a new thread, but I am sure a Mod will let me know.

But in continuation of this idea (which I like) Improved Evasion can be that feat the makes evasion work in medium armor. So evasion would be changed as Valefort suggested, Improved Evasion would also require light or no armor BUT would work like normal evasion if you are wearing medium armor, and have no effect in heavy. Might as well look at the whole line of evasion feats (all 2  ) if we are going to bring it up.

Also, there is more than one source for evasion, are they all worded the same way, to require light or no armor? If not that would have to be considered as well.

imo, as this is a multi-class system, i wouldn't want to start taking away benefits from multi-classing. we should bear in mind that pnp does not always equate well to nwn 2. a change like this, making it not work in medium/heavy armor, would hurt non-magic melees, which need the boost from it, while allowing arcanes to be stronger by being able to keep the benefits. just my 2 cents. i understand we all strive for balance. perhaps just leaving heavy armor out would help a bit towards this. ty to all for your opinions

different sources for the same feat, so yes

no other feat is really as complicated as sneak attack for example, where different sources appear to be different feats because of the issue with them stacking
