Jarrol's lip quivers momentarily at the drawn up waif of a woman before erupting into a great boisterous rowdy guffaw.

"Bwahahahaha! I do be likin' yer fire lass, do no doubt, but ain't no 'un goin't believe a dwarf done used poison. We can no even tell what do be poisonous! As fer th accusin' ,well, yer friend there has done been chantin' an' holdin' her head so I ain't fer takin' no chances. Best we all be safe ' bout it."

She huffed out an annoyed sigh turning her gaze back upon the one-armed man. "You dolt, what 'fingerwaggling' you saw was to look for magic about. Now let her have a good look." Her voice softened, expecting some answers as the other two tended to the man. "If it is ill magic that has befallen him, we'll know it. Strange things he uttered, according to him," she said motioning her finger to Damien.

Druegar looks over the man and scratches his head a bit before addressing the group.

Poisons I know well comrades, I fetch his stein yes? I examine closely.

The hulking mound of bear furs walks back into the bar and grabs what he thinks is the ale stein of the unconscious one armed man.. and a pint for himself.. again.. He brings back the stein and holds it up to the light as he examines it closely for any traces of poisons.

Kadace, having been observing the entire encounter from within the crowd, simply remains watching, but his eyes examine everything, the wheels in his head turning over the encounter.

Upon the collapse and slumber at the base of the stairs, he moves somewhat closer, studying the ring intently, while ignoring the others and their banter, or their hovering over the now prone figure.

Lore is...I think 16-20? With server down currently, can't check.

Jarrol watches the hulking, bear wearing man as he raises the stein and looks at at. With a sigh he put one hand over his eyes and shakes his head. Finally he smacks the mass of flesh with one hand and motions him to lower the stein dow to dwarf level, all the while keeping one squinty eye on the "finger wagglers."

Jarrol watches the hulking, bear wearing man as he raises the stein and looks at at. With a sigh he put one hand over his eyes and shakes his head. Finally he smacks the mass of flesh with one hand and motions him to lower the stein dow to dwarf level, all the while keeping one squinty eye on the "finger wagglers."

Druegar upon being slapped looks down confused at Jarrol then quickly snaps to his senses and begins to growl at those who wish to lay a hand on the ringed man.

The one armed man is breathing -- as far as you can tell, and has no visable wounds. Everyone begins to swarm around the man as he lays there tightly holding the ring. He doesn't respond to your voice -- and it is clear after hearing about the ring 'speaking' several people are avoiding touching him. The ring continues to give out a strange huming signal, some of you may feel slightly light headed ((If Concentration is below 10)) Maura seems to be studying the ring from a close distance.

To Lucia

You don't see any wounds or markings on the body, you would notice his hand is shaking mildly as he holds on tightly to the ring.

Lucia scans the body - trying to do basic first aid, but clearly lacking in exerience, after a good few moments she stops explaining the body. Jarrol quickly moves in standing over the man like a watchdog, forcing a few of you to step away ((If you fail to beat his intimidation))

To Maura

You think the ring is giving out a type of sonic energy -- it seems harmless, if anything annoying. You do not understand why the man would want this ring as it contains very few useful magical properties.

Jarrol and Maura have some brief banter while she tries to focus on the strange ring. Druegar then calls out for his drink -- eventually getting hold of it, the cup containing only a small amount of ale.

It is cheap, nasty stuff - the thought of drinking this is nasty -- but after studying the contents carefully you detect no poison, the ale seems clean.

While Maura and Jarrol continue to talk, Druegar returns with the flask the man was drinking from. Another man can be seen slowly edging towards you, Kadace, who seems to be keenly watching the ring.

The ring, from what little you can see is a simple one; you think it has been enchanted with a sonic signal. It isn't something you are very famillar with but you can't see why anyone would want it -- as from what you can tell, aside from giving the people around it an annoying buzzing sound it has no other use.

Things seem to be getting heated between Jarrol and Druegar now, as he finishes explaining the contents of the one armed mans drink -- Bently, who was busy washing down the table comes over asking you all what all the fuss is about, he instantly covers his ears after approching the man looking down at the ring. "What in the 9 hells is that!?" he shouts out.

Hazel happily skips down the stairs, only to make a sad face while looking down to the man who fell down on the ground.

Oh that is not good!
That makes me so sad, are you alright mister?

She has trouble seeing the man as others are standing around him, but then her sad face turns into a big smile.

There sure are a lot of people here, makes me happy to see you all looking after him.
I bet this place is filled with nice people who try to help each other.
Nice to meet you everyone! She yells while trying to get her head above the people blocking her way.
Then proceeds by crawling through everyone's legs to get past them from the stairs into the room where the hin has a better view of the situation.

Don’t you worry mister, they are already taking good care of you. I am sure you will be fine soon.
They look like they know what they are doing. And we will protect you from whatever is getting you. What is getting you mister? Mister? Hmm think he is unconscious.

lightly pulls on Maura’s sleeve to get her attention.

Lady? sorry to interrupt lady but do you think he is poisoned? Why would anyone poison him?
I cannot think of anyone that would do such a mean thing. Do you know who poisoned him?
We should find that person I think.

Scowling, Kadace concentrates on the ring, raises a hand, and points at the ring, while at the same time muttering under his breath.

Kadace is attempting to cast three spells upon the ring: Detect magic, followed by Dispel, and then Blindness/Deafness.

The first to determine (for himself) what, if any magical effects are upon the ring.
The second is to dispel any effects.

The third will blind and deafen the ring, so that it is, supposedly, unable to make more noise.

And yes, Kadace is aware the spell is meant for a creature. He is tweaking the spell.

Hearing the hum in his head and having little to no concentration, Druegar flies into a rage grasping his ears.

Death noise is attacking my ears!

Druegar begins to swing wildly at those around him (that are not the party or drinking friends). He swipes at the air with bearlike talons and flips over tables sending drinks flying.

*Snarl* Makes it stop! Makes it stop!

He then picks up two metal ale steins and holds them over his ears (ale and all) in hopes of nullifying the ringing in his head.

Jarrol bangs his head against the wall several times in an attempt to clear the ringing in his ears. As Duergar begins to transform he rolls his eyes and does his best to cover the prone man and keep the flailing man/bear thing from him. Occasionally he swats one hand in the air as if swatting at a buzzing insect absently before realizing the hum is not from that source.

(( All saves over 20, so not bothered too much by the intimidate towards "finger wagglers" ))

Damian rubs his head, then stands up after placing the man in a position where he can easily breathe and vomit without risk, if he so needs. He then turns to the group.

"Okay okay, settle down... He don't seem to be dead, nor poisoned... nor... *looks to Jarrol and Druegar* ... "finger waggled" ... Can't tell if he had a stroke or something but he is breathing. Best HE can do, is to lie still... and then pick ye' god to worship for ... whatever you wish to happen"

He then glances at the ring, or rather at the gathered trying to study the ring...

"Okay, so... whats u-ACK HELLs is that noise..."

*Damian takes hands up to his ears and shakes his head. Tho don't seem to bothered by it ((Wisdom 8, so -1 listen ))*

"Oi! I know he only has one hand left, but can't one of you strong-armed folk wrestle that screaming banshee-wedding-ring from his hand and put it in a mug already?!"

With wary look Maura eyed the bearish man, not accustomed to being near savages but soon her attention was drawn down to the halfing's tiny hand tugging on her sleeve next to her. "I..eh, no we don't know who poisoned him or if he was. The ring is as curious as it is annoying however."

The Scolar looked back back towards the grasped ring in the man's hand that produced the noise. She didn't seem to be much affected by the ring * but for her mood. Seeing Bentley shout out as he walked near the ring, she adressed him: "A vexatious ring that is sure. Except what to me seems sonic energy radiating of it, I see no harm ...in...it." Her voiced trailed off when she saw Druegar entering into a frenzy. Cautiously she takes a step back and bemusedly watches the Bearish brute flail and Dwarf engage in self harm.

Upon Damien's reassurances she looked down to Hazel "He's fine, see?"

Hoping the dispell cast by Kadace would supress the magic from the ring, she watched intently to its results, but once it came clear the finger waggling halfling was to cast blindness and deafness onto the ring, Maura uttered a half hearted protest, "It has to be living for that work."

Maura walked towards the barmaid asking for a strong clear glass filled with a clear liquid, preferably water. Damien's suggestion had merit but she intended to drown the ring in a liquid when the ring could be whisked from the one-armed man's grasp.
