I saw somethin' funky today:

My character Aldebaran summoned a Lvl 9 spell Elder Water Elemental, and I right-clicked it to Examine its Character Sheet. When the sheet first popped up, I saw that the STR and CON was highlighted in Blue, and read 36 and 29, respectively. Then, right before my eyes, the Abilities lost their highlight, and reduced down to 32 and 25. :shock:

Obviously, Aldebaran is a Thaumaturge, and has the Augmented Summons feat. So, what gives? Was that a "glitch" and the Augmented Summons feat double applying, but a "catch" script then running and bringing the Summons back down to appropriate Ability levels? Or, was it Augmented Summons applying then self-removing itself?

In NWN1, the Elder Water Elemental had these stats:

Abilities
strength 28
dexterity 22
constitution 21
intelligence 6
wisdom 11
charisma 11

In D&D, the Elder Water Elemental has these stats:

Str 28, Dex 22, Con 21, Int 10, Wis 11, Cha 11 .

But that differs from BGTSCC, so it is difficult for me to know what to expect.

EDIT: the same just happened for Epic Gate (angel)....it spawned, and showed in Blue STR 40 and CON 36, then quickly un-highlighted and lowered to STR 39 and CON 35.

probably, if i remember right, augment summoning should no longer have blue stats because it increases the base stat now and is not an enhancement

Summons need to be beefed up... a 9th lv summon unless its gate or epic gate rarely lasts long against high lv mobs and since these are supposed to be the most bad-ass summons available it kinda makes their use unimportant.

They are currently being oberhauled. ~40 creatures are already done, more will follow.
