Wow, just tried this out. This is so great! Did storage work this way back in September?

Yes, but at the time there was concern as to if it could cause other issues (not to mention the problems associated with crashes when a PC is disguised) so it was not announced. Since by now the disguise issues are well documented and muling is not against the rules this is a much safer method to transfer items between your PC's.

Yeah, there's an item I made that allows you to set gold upon it and move it around, drop it on the ground, and should be interfaceable with the storage system with no issue but forgot to commit it in. Will do that this weekend.
Is this item available now for everyone? If it is, where and if it's not when will it be? :)

Did we ever get the ability to store gold and move it around?

Not yet. I'd like to see gem/coinage merchant NPCs make this a thing, sorta like Sigil has (although muling is illegal there unless you're rebuilding the identical character).

The problem is settling on agreed values for gems/coinage that won't necessarily rip off dedicated collectors. This way characters can buy gems at a 1% markup (appraise does not apply) from the NPC, and then sell them with a 1% markdown so the exchange cannot be exploited for profit, and thusly 'exchange' gold between characters simply by putting the gem-coinage into storage for transfer.
