No one from the Media team responded. Three members of QC did (me, matelener and BMD) and we are not going to comment on a question with regard to visual effects, new textures or other art type content.Scorpius wrote:1- the thread was about more then 1 thing... What was childish? Asking you if you expect a full RCR? You then call me out as a 'wise man', well here's what you do.... 2nd level spells for a sorc are selected at level 4 and 5...You have a whole bunch of levels after that where you can replace the spell with another selection. If you didn't do so how is that the DM's responsibility to fix it for you? Much easier to respond with childish vitriol and then throw accusations of the same at others, yes?Scorpius wrote:the interventions were childish in the answers and would make assumptions of some sort without event asking more facts... Or details
Free server, there is no money to return to you. There is nothing false in the spell description and Matelener commented that the cooldown bug has a fix submited. As BMD stated it is the same with many other feats/abilities and spells that utilize the activation bar.Scorpius wrote:3- a statement is a statement... If someone don't respect an advertising then it is false statement. That said.... TX a lot. Dm ditto for your last intervention as from there even if a no sort out it is not false advertising anymore as actions were taken like the post about rcr I quoted was talking about. Thumb up to ditto!
Both issues you called out, from your original post (4 hour cooldown issue) and later (cancel current action) is a part of the base code and a pre-existing issue with these types of abilities and not specific to deflection so there was no need for a separate answer. In any case sometimes people will be able to answer part of your question, but not another part. QC can't answer to your question about a Samurai Shade and Media Team probably can't comment on your mechanical question. So if no one can comment on all of your questions they should not respond at all? You won't get many responses then.Scorpius wrote:4- deflection, like said in previous post here has another problem then cooldown... Go read up I won't write it again.
See above.Scorpius wrote:5- stop giving half answers ( do not concern dm ditto)
Your point? Sorcerer's can replace a previously selected spell with a new choice. For level 2 spells you could have replaced them as early as level 8 and every even level up to 20.Scorpius wrote:6- just to answer at something that was said... Lv 1 and 2 spells can be equal or event more powerful then Lv 9 spells if used at the right time or right... D& D fact
NWN2Wiki wrote:Starting at their 6th class level, and every two levels after, sorcerers can replace one known spell with a new spell of the same level. The spell that can be replaced must be two spell levels below what the sorcerer can currently cast (1st level spell at 6, 1st or 2nd level spell at 8, 1st or 2nd or 3rd level spell at 10, and so forth).
You see...this is written as if you are owed something and the devs need to meet your demands for you to use a custom spell. Simply put, the mechanical bug, as I stated (and was stated previously) has been around a long time, but had you exercised just a bit of patience you would have seen Matelener's post regarding the fix for one of the two issues you had.Scorpius wrote:7- If and only if not only cooldown but the mechanic bug of deflection is corrected In a future patch I might reconsider taking it...like I said I was using it for rp reasons... But I want a guaranty it won't make lose turn anymore else cooldown is only a futile bug patch... To test it right... Melee attack with 3 or more attack per turn and activate it in middle... 1/3 of time it work well, and the other 2/3 it makes you lose your turn.
Simply put, you get more bee's with honey and, in case you aren't aware there have been a lot of requests lately with a LOT of vitriol, so if you are expecting to be able to sling accusations and call out me or anyone else from staff without us telling you about yourself then you will be disappointed. The simple fact is there were multiple ways you could have addressed the mechanical issue yourself without needing an RCR. Spells are not like feats / abilities and were not included in the things that were indicated as having potential for allowing an RCR. If you don't understand how to do these things it is no reason to then hold it against the server or it's staff after the fact. Instead learn to play and if you take a spell with your sorc test it and decide if you want it so that when you reach level 8,10,12,14,etc. you can replace it if it doesn't work the way you want.
If you don't like the quality that comes from the staff of the server, there are others out there.Scorpius wrote:I hope to see quality coming out of quality team in the future
