I quite like that one!

I tend to gravitate to the non fiction representations.

Brilliant film that.

To the OP, if you like more 'edgy' westerns try this Johnny Depp gem - Dead Man. Quality.

Some Eve Online players may know these, best fan-made films I've seen - Clear Skies. Free on youtube, 3 of them and I've watched them loads of times.

Want a tear-jerker? Pay It Forward. I'm surprised how many people haven't seen this, superb performances and I challenge you not to tear up.

Best King Arthur film out there bar none Excalibur. Check out the cast, a lot of big names pre-being big names.

Troll Hunter. Surprised me how well done and 'believable' this foreign film was, worth checking out.

Another foreign film, these had me in stitches - Dead Snow.

Another batch...

The machnist

Mindtwisting psychological thriller with Christian Bale's unfamous sacrifice for sake of the movie to drop his weight to look almost like a walking skeleton.

Another psychological thriller. Weird, twisted and paranoid... everything to be expected from Aronofsky, plus amazing soundtrack by Clint Mansell.

War horse

Steven Spielberg's lesser known work. A very touching tale of a horse dragged into the middle of the conflict of WWI. Honestly, I cannot even watch the trailer for it without crying. :)

Where Eagles Dare - British (Richard Burton)vs American (Clint Eastwood) heroism, the first grindbased movie? Action

The 100 Year-Old man who went out the window and disappeared - Perspective on life do matter, close to home depiction of reallife criminals. Comedy

Robocop(1987) is the correct answer.

He's half man, half machine...and all cop. You really can't ask for more than that.

For me Movies and Video games were and are still a huge part of my life growing up in a small town where snow could literally have you house locked for a day or two movies became part of nature

1st. Back to the Future- a trilogy that i still watch almost monthly and i can almost quote

2nd. Merlin- the Sam Neil one. i feel it captures the essence of Merlin the wizard

3rd. Judge Dredd- Stallone, oh my you can't help but laugh threw this movie so many quirks but still i think two good performances

4th.Andromeda- i know it's not a movie but to me it is,

i have more but those are the four i can watch over and over not in a row but still come back to and not get bored of
Clint James: OSR Knight Warrant
Throg Teethnasher: Half-orc Fighter
Bob Ratchet: Bob, Glitch and Frank can you figure out who has the intellegence in this trio, Gondite Inventor and Golem Addict

This is probably my favourite movie of all time:

This twisted culture got you feeding from its hand
But you will lose that food if you don't meet all their demands
And loyal is the soldier that gets slaughtered with the lambs
Examining the blueprints got you questioning the plans

Loved the Crow...

Some of my other favorites in no particular order

Starship Troopers

V for Vendetta

Major League

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?

Sean of the Dead

Obviously Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and the Hobbit are all near the top of any list I can think of (only the first 3 Indiana Jones movies though).

40 year old virgin is hilarious.

Recently saw Deadpool and laughed my head off the whole time

It should be noted that at least half of these movies my wife thinks are utter garbage, so I suppose I may just have poor taste in movies. So be it, I like mindless entertainment sometimes. :)

There are so many solid movies depending on the mood.

Ok, I'll throw out a quick list :)

Action?
Leon the Professional
Hitman Agent 47 (not in the same league as Leon though)
Soldier - A movie where Kurt Russell gives a surprisingly emotional performance, with only a couple memorable lines. "I'm going to kill them all, sir"
Salt - this AngieJo film was a good watch, with very few holes in the story.

Drama and Very Real?
Shawshank - no one mentioned this one?
Captain Fantastic - this is one I had to watch a few times, to get through the layers of how it affected me.

Light Humor?
The Man from Uncle - "Ugh..I left my jacket in there..." :)
Grosse Point Blank

Dark Humor but thoughtful?
He never Died - I'm going to leave it as a question mark in case others haven't seen it.

Creative but Animated?
Song of the Sea - you can watch with your kids too ;)
Kubo of the Two Strings

I'm a big fan of the comic movies, but not going to list them here. So other just for fun ones?
Frequently asked Questions about Time Travel
Super Troopers
Idiocracy

Maybe next list will include more thoughtful, serious titles too :)

This movie is pretty good for a late 70s horror film. Its called Prophecy. It concerns toxic waste creating a gigantic mutant bear which driven insane by constant agony due to its body being horribly deformed goes on a rampage relentlessly killing everything it encounters. There are over 10 major characters in the film and by the end only 2 of them survive. This movie is why i dont go into the woods anymore lol.

Here is the full movie if anyone wants to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2weFjWC-Kpo
