Ok, I'll throw out a quick list
Action?
Leon the Professional
Hitman Agent 47 (not in the same league as Leon though)
Soldier - A movie where Kurt Russell gives a surprisingly emotional performance, with only a couple memorable lines. "I'm going to kill them all, sir"
Salt - this AngieJo film was a good watch, with very few holes in the story.
Drama and Very Real?
Shawshank - no one mentioned this one?
Captain Fantastic - this is one I had to watch a few times, to get through the layers of how it affected me.
Light Humor?
The Man from Uncle - "Ugh..I left my jacket in there..."

Grosse Point Blank
Dark Humor but thoughtful?
He never Died - I'm going to leave it as a question mark in case others haven't seen it.
Creative but Animated?
Song of the Sea - you can watch with your kids too

Kubo of the Two Strings
I'm a big fan of the comic movies, but not going to list them here. So other just for fun ones?
Frequently asked Questions about Time Travel
Super Troopers
Idiocracy
Maybe next list will include more thoughtful, serious titles too
