It sounds like AoS has addressed (or will be addressing) this one. The next server update should see a lot of little bug fixes like this one going in.

I think it's still happening. I'm finding it happening more so with spell casting in shape form.
Had it coupled with some arcane spell failure events i think.

It stopped being an issue for me. That said if you pick something up then shift, It still forces you back. You have to wait 120 seconds after you pick up a drop before shifting. If you pick up while already shifted it works fine.
