monstrous humanoid is an option and they are from there yes

there is a way into the city that bypasses all of that, tho i wouldnt call it common knowledge and so definitely wouldnt be common knowledge to a drow and the method itself would impose other complications, but stuff like that would require DM oversight, purpose of infiltration etc etc anyway
but the long and short of it is it would be possible, just depending on everything else maybe not successful

The disguise mode, if it works, a drow could try to enter a city, yes... I am not crazy enough to do it but it makes sense. If the guards don't uncover and another player does, he could call a DM to act as a GUARD, in rp even in disguise the player could scape, but if they see the fraud, probably he should be arrested (being very positive) for some days. (Maybe 3)
It is not a report problem, if there is a law in the CITY is not a cheat on SERVER.
There is a difference for laws to players and to Characters. In some cases cast spell in a place not allowed can result for something in character, not to the player.
Just remember there is around 90k residents in Baldur's Gate at this year

Just wanted to say that I think Juramenta has a point. I know we all should know the servers rules but I would still be happy if someone would engage me telling me if I was doing something wrong before bringing the DM team into it.
I don't think DMs mind if players attempt to help them take care of actual plots rather then rule violations.
Now if the addressed player does not react properly that would be the time to call a DM in my opinion.
Not trying to make people that report right away look like they are doing something wrong but I guess everyone would like a little friendly warning before going to the authorities (DMs included I would guess).
Best regards,
K'yon
PS looks like I answered to something a little older... Oops

Yes, there is no rule against masks. I know since my main character wore a mask for the majority of the time I have played her, sometimes even during DM events.
