if you unplug your internet and play a game does it need internet to display graphics ?

I don't think so :)

you get your answer there

those process use internet... so they are just to make communication with Nvidia corp...
I don't know what for exactly because I havent look and don't work for them but this annoys me when I get lag... I'm a bit connection freak since I got hacked some years ago... and anything I don't connect myself to the net... I kill

my pc works great and V fast my pings are always around 30...

when I look at network while no programs are running my network Netstat is dead quiet... no peak or anything... no bit transfer... nothing

I control my pc... and rarely the other way around :)

anyway... I will keep on doing it... as it helps my internet run better...

only prevent from getting lag and spikes...

if you look carefully in your network pannel from task manager--- resource monitor
you can see nvbackend.exe grind up to 5mb/sec at some time... even a bit more...

your video card DON'T need internet... nvidia does use it for some untold reasons...
may collect information or something for user experiance.. but this is my guest...

anyway... sucking up 5mb + / sec is a bit overkilling.... don't you think ?
