Three men in dark leathers and maille leave the Beregost grounds. They travel far east and north, coming upon a tribe of goblins, and an ungodly giant rat. They parley with the goblins and leave, one man riding the rat as a mount. They arrive near Durlag's Tower and find a graveyard beneath the surface of the water. After examining the bodies, they return them to their watery grave and remove all signs of their interference, heading back to Beregost.

An unlikely group of travelers set out from the Friendly Arm Inn a few days ago, into a part of Cloakwood where a strange taint was upon the land. Passing by crazed animals and poisoned rivers, they ventured into a complex of ruins and caves on the edge of the forest, towards the source of the corruption. A grave evil radiated from the earth itself, until a chilling voice was heard across the area as
something happened…
As the group began their return journey towards civilization, whatever taint was held over the land seems to have dissipated somewhat. Several dead and injured travelled with the party upon their return, each of them looking exhausted from whatever happened within those caves.

Rumors have circulated around Baldur's Gate of a certain home in the Palace District of Baldur's Gate, known for its impressive security, which was recently broken into. The owner of the house, some whisper, was found torn apart, as though by wild animals, in a scorched, brimstone-scented chamber...
Whatever the cause of the events that transpired in that room, it is noted that all of the house's security measures had been defused by expert hands, from its barred windows to its magically warded doorways...

The Hunters of Vengeance recently ventured far from Baldur’s Gate. Searching for those responsible for earlier killings near Beregost, they followed the trail of the murderous north, towards the village of Daggerford, where they had heard that similar killings had taken place. Their only other lead was an unusual dagger found at the scene of the crime.
Not too far from Daggerford itself, the Hunters found themselves crossing a bridge, where they were confronted by a single woman. Dubbing her and her companions the ‘Humble Folk,’ they demanded coin in exchange for passage. After a violent conflict which tried both sides, the Hunters emerged victorious, claiming the head of the bandit leader.
Proceeding further down the road, they spied a gallows at the edge of the woods, with a trail of blood leading from it towards a rushing stream. Across the stream, Tegeus saw a dagger similar to the one which he had located in Beregost. With much difficulty and several failed attempts, Talisen and Tegeus managed to make it across to claim the blade.
Upon inspecting the gallows at the other end of the trail of blood, they found not only the hanged man whom they had spied from a distance, but also a gruesome circle formed by dead bodies, with a distinctive swirl of blood at the center. Inspecting them closely, it was determined that they had each been cut so as to inflict as much pain as possible before their deaths, while their tongues had been pierced by iron rings, as had that of the hanged man. Gwydion, the Ffolk mage, found no aura of magic in the area, ruling out a ritual intention - at least, one which had been completed.
Whatever the old man said left the Hunters perplexed, and though it gave them something to grasp at, it was clear that further investigation was needed. At last, they set off towards Daggerford, hoping they might pick up the trail there, and find a few more missing pieces to the puzzle that confronted them.

A few days ago, several of the Hunters were seen leaving a home in the Dock Ward of Baldur's Gate, not far from the compound of the Flaming Fist. As it happens, they headed straight for the mercenary fortress, speaking grimly with the officers there. An hour later, several Fist guards were seen placed outside the house, all access being closed off. Later, a foul stench filled the air as many bodies in varying states of decay were carried out of the house for burial...

The Hunters of Vengeance returned to the depths of the sewers for the second time in as many weeks, following a meeting led by Eleanor. Joining the Hunters were the druids, Ivan and Corvus, the Helmite Sveta, and Cara, priestess of Jergal.
Before descending into the depths, the group stopped briefly at the headquarters of the Flaming Fist, pleading with them for help, speaking of some dangerous menace lurking in the depths, to little avail.
What occurred within the sewers is known only to those who were among the group, but it is said that they emerged somewhere downstream of the Chionthar, bringing with them the mangled, decayed corpse of a known smuggler...

*For the very first time Hunter's gathered in their new base of operations to hold a meeting. They were joined by a valuable ally and a friend priestess of Jergal known as Cara Joriani. The group discussed current state of affairs regarding the Arcanists, undead armies and Talonite cultist's cells.*

*********************************************
*The next day the base came to life with the members, their associates and a stray coming together.
Delicious food was served to those in need of a warm meal after a drinking-game gone wrong, and a stray was invited into the fold to share a bowl of stew with diverse company. During that time two cowled women stood by the fireplace sharing a quiet understanding laced with irony. *

*********************************************
*After the War Council had concluded two days ago, the leaders of En Dharasha Everae and Hunters of Vengeance - accompanied by HoV's arcanist Vincent Valaran - met at the Helm and Cloak Inn to discuss matters regarding Troll Claws and High Moors. Mendel and Eleanor came to a mutual understanding and they both agreed on exchanging their faction's intelligence reports before the newly forged cooperative effort could proceed further.*

For the past half a dozen or so days, Bathsheba has been staying at the compound most nights. The first few days she waited for others to let her in, but lately she appears to have a key. Anyone inquiring about it to her, Vincent, Eleanor or the blonde woman would get the reply that Eleanor gave it to her.

*Over the last tenday Hunters met with En Dharasha Everae twice. First meeting was hosted at HoV's compound, the second took place at the Misty Forest in the Elven Village. Members of both factions talked about the situation of Scornubel, the Talonite Cultist Cell known as Flies, Arcanists and the overall situation of the Coast. They outlined the general idea in regard of the course of action they should take next.*

For couple of months Hunters had been forging an alliance with a former vampire general Velika Sarade and two spirit-like netherese beings Koraxxes and Ysmrilda in order to build the Vessel. Said artifact was suppose to trap the arcanists from Warlock's crypt, severing the connection between them and their phylacteries. HoV included other factions in those attempts, however all efforts towards this goal failed miserably and Hunters were unable to use the artifact. After the war has ended the trio of ancient allies left Hunters behind.
Even if nothing came out of it, they still made friends, allies and enemies along the way.
An alliance with ancient, netherese entities and a failed attempt to build a magical prison called The Vessel
during the war in 1351 DR.
Meeting Ysmrilda, the keeper and guardian of a hidden Library, before the trip to the High Forest where HoV met Koraxxes for the first time.

Second meeting with Ysmrilda, retrieval of the Balde of Azukyl that temporarily held the essence of the spirit and a silver shard that Velika was after.

Encounter with Velika and Mavlon. Mavlon frees Ysmrilda from the blade. Velika obtains the silver shard but also offers the Blade of Azukyl as a gesture of good will.

Velika's vampire guards in the heart of her crypt.

First encounter with the Great Red Wyrm - Rith Ua Vorex - and the retrieval of the Gem of Fire.

A trip to a small pocket plate where the Blade of the Traitor, to which Koraxxes was bound.
"Here lies Koraxxes, traitor to Netheril, traitor to Karsus"

Eleanor faces her show-self after taking the blade and receives a warning.
"One of Koraxxes' allies will betray them. Be wary."

The retrieval of the Gem of Water form Azukyl's domain. Azukyl banishes Ysmrilda. Eleanor and Talisen take the Gem and following the warning, they do not give it back to Terri, providing her with a fake one.

After obtaining the egg of Rith Ua Vorex with help of associates and allies, they all are being chased by Death Knights to Koraxxe's house. The spirit teleports them to Velika's crypt. There the egg, which was sealed with a sacrifice of an angel, turns Velika human.

Mavlon betrays Velika. Koraxxes faces her in battle which destroys his bealnorn form.

Hunters and the others are on the run from vampire infested crypt with the Vessel in Bath's hands.

Everyone makes it out alive.

Koraxxes reveals himself to Eleanor and Bath after the battle with Mavlon and explains who he is and how was he bound to the Blade of the Traitor.

Hunters together with allies and associates enter the pocket plane on the plane of Shadow in order to find and rescue Ysmrilda. They face the Lord of Shadow.

The find Ysmrilda kept in a trap devised by Azukyl. Koraxxes sacrifices part of his power to destroy the trap, while Vincent offers his body and mind to Ysmrilda in order to save her.

A meeting at the compound with Velika, Koraxxes, Ysmrilda and the associates before the mission to find the Gem of Air.

The tree ancient allies open a portal to where the Gem of Air is hidden.

HoV and the others retrieve the Gem of Air form Akadi's domain.

Meeting with all the allies and associates before the last mission for the Gem of Earth hidden by Mavlon somewhere.

With EDE and other friends HoV enters the portal in Velika's former crypt that leads them to Yuan-ti hunting grounds where the Gem of Earth is hidden.

Hunters obtain the Gem of Earth and together with others go back to the compound, awaiting for Priestess Aeili to send a celestial leopard - they saved - home.

Soon after that the Vessel is activated but it fails to deliver the power everyone was hoping for. Hunter's efforts to use it against the threats in the ongoing war turn into little more than a dream.
(((OOC: We want to say our thanks to all the other guilds and unaffiliated PC's that joined HoV in all those efforts to find and obtain the Gems
We hope you all had as much fun as we did watching this story unfold!:3 We are looking forward to many more such cooperative plots where we get a chance to involve so many of you.

Eleanor could have been seen moving out of the Hunters' headquarters before the Fundraiser Gala the other day. The third and last trip with the rest of belongings took place after the Ball in a company of an Ilmateri priest. Ameris could have been seen gently carrying a small mint bush in a colorful, ceramic flowerpot.
It is being said she resigned her leadership to one of Hunters' members, Koryneer of House Sentinel, as well as her active membership.

Kory is seen more as of late on the Sword Coast. It seems he has once again come home to the Lair of the Hunters. As he sits down for a moment he glances at old Pharaxxes who always seems so quiet he grabs the quill and parchment nearby and begins to pen a message over and over again. He then grabs his pack and gear setting out across the Sword Coast.

A band of adventurers enters the lair on their way up to train in the Grey Peak mountains. The group comprised of Maddy Thunderkeg, Hoppy Toadmeadow, Venture Dungeon Delver, Vendor Xon, Koryeneer of House Sentinel, Hazel Jynx, Terri Lalani and a few others entered the complex and toured the area. Plans for a new table to be brought in and clean up to commence were talked about extensively between Kory and Hazel. New life was about to be brought to the dreary area and soon even old Pharaxxes would have plenty company in the hillside fortress..........
