Glorious day Herran smiles and bows his head to Amaranthe in passing as they pass by. He does not stop or make formal introductions as he does not wish to fall behind the unicorn.

As a way to pass time and ease the tension of the forests hostilities, Herran decides to sing as they go, a song that is a favorite of the orphans he often visits.

he kicks up his heels and spins as he begins to sing
Still walking hand in hand with Freya.

Humans love dancing, the elves their fine singing

takes a puff from and imaginary pipe, then steps on the edge of a non-existant shovel
Halflings smoke pipeweed, while dwarves keep on digging

smiles wide
Gnomes always tinkering with nice shiney toys

All favorite things of good girls and boys

raises a hand over his eyes as he looks to the distance
Ships on the ocean, and wagons on prairies

chuckles as he sings
Streams full of fishies, and woods full of fairies

sweeps his arm slowly towards the sky
Skies full of bright stars, all through the night

Showing that all things will soon be alright

he laughs and twirls Freya first away, then back into his arms where he picks her up and spins several times before setting her back on her feet.

Then as the unicorn steps aside and he sees the clearing, Herran jaw all but falls open By the loving goddesses! are the only words he can get out.

He squeezes Freya's hand and turns his eyes yo her seeming at a total loss of words. The emotions on his face are unreadable as they seem to be in constant change as he tries to grasp what it is he sees .... A BARD WHO IS SPEECHLESS !!

The first thing that occurs to Freya is wisper to Herran as they wlak hand in hand:"The unicorn speaks of dangers and things that are happening to the forst - and you sing of chasing orcs and such.....please dear.... let me choose the song if we are moving in nature in such a situation next time.", she speaks softly with a smile and still calm to him. There someone is more aware of what happens in the place around her as it looked.

Her concerned expression at what they see proves it finally that she is only star struck on the outside. Taking herself a quiet moment, shows it loos different on the inside, seeing the affront and giving the beeings around her a look of compassion that speaks more than words, finally proves doubters wrong. No matter if she smiles and tries to comfort others, she seems to understand in her way.

If she can hear the oakfater is mentioned, she seems somehow glad as well, recognizing the "grandfather" of her godess so to speak.
She takes a deep breath and speaks to the unicorn carefully. "I know....i respect deeply that this all hurts your souls and makes you and others who live here angry. What they did to your homelands is unspeakable. But ...to be able to help properly, i think we should know how this happend....who ist responsible for this....It might be hard for you all, ....but could you tell us more, please? "

After a while of following the small group through the forest, they abruptly stop, so abrupt he almost steps up closer than he'd like.

Quickly he regains composure and circles around the group keeping the distance. After about a half circle he stops. A faint smile appears on his face, this cut down area of forest could mean business in the near future though he wonders why he hasn't heard about any measurements being taken at all yet.

The body language of the group signals him, they are about to take action, he'll stay around to watch.

Still in awe and looking around seeing the hostility in the animals makes Clint very Wary of his surroundings, as they come upon the clear cutting and dead animals Clint makes a frown, "it's one thing to gather wood needed for survival and shelter but this is unspeakable, and the death of the animals without making use of all of it is wreckless," he begins to look over the axes and the dead animals for signs of what did this damage or rather whom

As Freya continues to talk to the unicorn, Herran kisses her cheek and releases her hand not wanting to interrupt. He takes a few steps into the clearing, taking a closer look.

First to see if any animals are only injured and not dead. He would then do what he could to help them recover, using his song which heals slowly, but, surely, as his skills in mundane healing are all but nil.

Second to see if there are any clues as to who did this ... garbage with markings of where it came from?? manufacture markings on the axes?

Third he would look for drag marks, as the clearing is waste and not ash ... the trees had to be drug? carted? somewhere and he would try to find the general direction.

The barron land looks like a woodland graveyard spanning for miles. Herran appears to be in some kind of shock, holding tightly onto Freya's hand as the Unicorn steps aside. Eventually after speaking firmly with Herran Freya approches the Unicorn and speaks with him, after listening carefully the Unicorn finally speaks loud enough for you all to hear


"It started one moon ago" he pauses turning back to the destruction once more "Several dwarven loggers began cutting down trees under cover of night, it was small at first - but now has gotten out of control"

The Unicorn turns and regards Clints comment as he looks around before continuing "...I have tried making contact with them, but everytime I get close; they seem to disappear - they are always one step ahead of me and seem to know when I am coming" he adds, a slight look of concern on the Unicorns face "Two of the loggers have been spotted heading to the place you call 'Candlekeep' recently, but I can not leave the woodland"

Clint then wonders off, though not too far to inspect some of the axes on the ground.

The axes are of dwarven brand, and appear to be of very good quailty - though some of them are damaged, you notice most of them are perfectly fine and you find it odd they have just been left here like junk. You detect minor magical essence from the blades. A brief count of the axes in the area comes to around 32, though you guess another 100 or so to be in this whole area

Herran then lets go of Freya and takes a few steps into the woodland

It seems the trees have been forcefully cut down with such great power that it was like a giant had came through with a 50ft long axe -- huge stress marks can be seen across the trees that suggests they were almost forcefully ripped apart, you notice Clint nearby studying one of the axes.

After studying the trees Herran then wonders off, though not too far to study the ground -- he appears to be looking down at a patch of dirt not too far from Freya

You would notice that the trees appear to have been dragged pretty far into the forest -- but oddly, vanish into thin air as if someone or something had plucked them from this realm, inspecting the end of the drag marks you would notice two huge footprints -- if this man was dwarf he would be atleast 20ft tall -- though oddly the tracks also seemingly vanish into thin air

A loud cry can be heard from a hooded woman in the back, as she falls to her knees - she seems deeply upset, but calms herself briefly to listen to what is going on.

From the back of the group you would notice what appears to be a small 'Lizard' walking on two legs, it hides behind the trees roughly 400m away from you.

"I do not know if the loggers remain at this keep" the Unicorn continues "but the conflict in these lands is rising, and I would like to see it stopped before a war is declared on your homes - there is only so much I can do to keep the peace"

Freya ... Herran calls to her calmly ... almost quietly ... he then casts detect magics and analyze dwoemer on the axes ... and at the points where prints disappear from existence.

there are magics involved ... and i am not prepared to follow them ... i believe portals are being used ... my magics can confirm or ... direct elsewhere ... but ... i believe Candlekeep is our next destination ... if they will still speak to me since my disavowment ... i will find at least some of the answers there ... he seems to have -some- doubt in his expectations.

you might ask our gracious host ... if this is an ever growing area limited to here only? ... or if this is happening in other parts of the woodlands as well ... it is obvious that he prefers Freya do the talking to the unicorn, for whatever his reasons.

Also .. i wonder who the dwarves and hin were ... that we saw flee ... and where they were running to? or was it only from?

he goes quiet now, lost in thought as he looks between the others as well.

Freya listens to Herran, not excluding anythimg realls she nods, she would ask the unicorn the questions Herran told her of.
To find more infirmations...i have to ask, if this is an ever growing area limited to here only? Or if this is happening in other parts of the woodlands as well ?

Also she would ask the unicorn if there is a way, to stop the war it is worried about himself until they found the cause of the problems. They would be willing to solv it by the roots. But it might need time without attacks of innocent "city-people" if they have no fault.
A war would be bad and would bring many losses on both sides....We don't know if the dwarves have any real fault or something else might be behind it yet. WE would want to find it out. Would there be a way to stop the attacks to avoid the war you are worried of?

So what would the host and also the others say?

Stepping out of cover Erik would carefully, not to get accidently blown to smithereens by a spell or gutted by a sword, approach the group.

"Lizardlike humanoid... Never been called that before. Looks like the ships full of riches coming from these islands attract not only the dukes and the merchants of the Gate. If I had to guess I'd say someone is building a new fleet." Giving his most trust gaining grin for the better, Erik awaits the groups' response.

Herran looks to the druidess if you know of a way to track these dwarves ... and can find them ... we will come along to talk to them ... while common and Elven are both natural languages to me ... i have learned the dwarven tongue as well. he glances to Freya to confirm her willingness to come along as well.

Herran draws his weapon at the mention of "lizardman" he then looks to Erik as he steps forward, then turns to the druidess once more he does not look much like a lizard to me ... is this the one you actually spotted? he continues to look to the trees

as for candlekeep being involved in this? ... i was a seeker there for almost 6 years ... and -never- have i witnessed their involvement in something like this. I doubt strongly that they are now ... though tis greatly possible they did talk to any dwarves approaching their gates .... even selling scrolls of magic to them at their store? Such would be the kinds of questions i would ask. steps closer to Freya once more, watching the forest.

the possibility of a fleet had crossed my mind to Erik but they have cleared enough forest to build a city ... complete with a fleet ...

As Herran only introduces himself, she grins but friendly to the other two: "Freya, member of the halls of Inner light and the white Mask theaatre, also heead cook of the twilight Rose. Besides, also chosen by Lurue."

Freya nod to Herran, already knowing the story with Candlekeep, taking his side here. She would look at the druid, nods in apprechiation. "If you know how we can manage this without having to talk to Candlekeep, we should use it. Those scholars...they can be very...neutral in my eyes. We can't even be sure if they would approve our will to help here."

She sighs, her pauses express the moments she tries to use more diplomatic words than she would say to friends actually.

To Erik she just sais to the tracks. "Nothing is impossible. We shall see for ourselves."

"I would give it a try. So we can see what else we find out....if the tracks bring us further." so she doesn't need to say she is still with them. Acting as a part of the group she would of course go with them.

//Uhm...that means? Lobo is not a DM anymore? Sorry, but my luck these months would not make me happy to be in to something without anything for it. I had that enough...i would prefer if somone would continue this or tell us what's up.
