Eldritch Knight IS tired ... but geez it works well! The fighter class is tired too Steve (if you catch my drift ;) )

Edit: Don't forget, there is also Harper Agent and Stormsinger that are medium BAB classes that can boost AB a little while also offering near-full spell casting progression.

Arcane gishes are not exactly struggling guys. And don't even start me on divine gishes.

EK works well, yes...but tired as in *yawn*. Look at most other PrCs, and though the majority don't have 9/10 progression, they offer so much more in class feats or special abilities.

Harper Agent is not high BAB, and has non-PnP requisites. Stormsinger requires 3 Bard levels, which makes an arcane gish a one-way street.

I'm not complaining, just pointing out things that make Builders think about!

Btw, this Topic should be in the Character Building section.

It already is really powerful. 3 level dips for tumble, martial weapon, heavy armour and shield prof. Can be useful for arcane (str gish, armoured, 9 levels), or for divine (get improved defences for no loss to caster level). Probably more, but this class gets plenty.
My Cleric 10 Warpriest 3 Dragonslayer 7 Hospitals 10 says nope.
BAB of 27 build with caster level of 25? You know, if you had gone for: Cleric 12/Hospitaler 10/Dragonslayer 4/Hierophant 4/ you could get BAB of 26 with caster level of 30. You could just as well use 4 levels of Warpriest instead of Dragonslayer.

As for non-spellcasters... Dragonslayer can be seen as bit of lacking. What it grants can be summed up as Heavy Armor Proficiency, Tower Shield Proficiency, and Fear Immunity. Thus it makes the class largely a RP choice.
