I thought about DP but the DP requires 8 lore geo and swashy, again last i checked and i appealed to have it changed, doesnt offer lore geo as a class skill. so i wouldnt be able to take it until L14  bad synergy of swash DP WM.
Invisible Blade requires Weapon Focus in Dagger or Kukri, but it does not mean you cannot get a Weapon Focus in Rapier and use rapiers. I mean, a long time ago I had an Invisible Blade on this server that made use of Light Hammers. Nashkel used to sell some with +2 EB and +1d4 Sonic Damage.

But as for 'Duelist Build' - is duelist really neceassry along with Weapon Master? Because, Swashbuckler 20/Bard 3/DreadPirate 7 would get that +3 AB and Damage from Bardic Inspiration. As long as you are not facing something that is immune to critical hits - that constitution damage adds up. As for facing critical hit immunity, the +3 magic damage and damage from Combat Insight should help you get past DR of 10/- fairly easily. Even if you only do that +3 magic damage a hit, you got 12 attacks per round, so 36 damage a round? Not the greatest but it will get the job done.

Anyhow, since Swashbuckler does get Epic Precision at level 12 on this server, you could pretty much mix in any Sneak Attck PRC you want without needing to take 10 levels of Rogue. Thus maybe a Swashbuckler 14/Weapon Master 7/Guild Thief 5/Whirling Dervish 4? Could be something to look at?

something to consider. i would not call it a must have by any means, but its nice. i will need to go check out the thayans i think though, because it would be a nice add on in a gear piece.

well the build i am looking for is trying to utilize a lot of synergies. classes that share feats and give feats that are needed for another class. ex. combat expertise, which is desirable on it's own, is needed for WM along with combat insight. which is something i would want for a high int build. and WW is given from temp for WM, but it is already beneficial because it grants gtwf, 3ab and 2 ac. all the classes require dodge mobilty and spring attack. mobility is granted from swash and the others are not wasted because they reqs. also 12 attacks that can crit x3 on 13 or > rolls.

long story short: stacking benefits from int, no wasted feats, good ac, good AB, good damage, and its not situational benefits. when i use other classes i lose more than i gain. the build has three drawbacks. pierce resistant mobs (could weapon shift to kukri or light hammer), horrible will save, cant spike my damage. really not that bad considering i typically play toons with a LONG list of drawbacks.

I would tend to agree... A 'cooler' version might be to go F12/WM7/DP6/Temp5 which could grab OSTWF and dual Scimitars... Would have to 'waste' a feat on Weapon Finesse, but could leave DEX at ~16 (Mithral Breatplate) and would get TWF, ITWF and GTWF all for free, as well as Spring Attack and Whirlwind Attack. Of course if you don't want Tempest Whirlwind you might consider going DP7/Temp4 in order to get an extra use / day of rally the crew, but seeing as it would only be twice per day for 7 minutes it's not really worth it IMO. You'll have plenty of Damage since you can focus on high STR and you'll have the Epic Weapon Specialization and Melee Mastery for +8 damage.

I so wish that the sai weapon had been included in NWN2. A nice, light, short poker would have been a great TWF option for duelist...and duelist monks!!

I think at one point I had a build concept for a Bard/DP/Tempest, but I forget what the fourth class was...almost certainly not Weapon Master as the qualification would have been a nightmare... Might have been Fighter or Divine Champion for some feats or possibly Dervish for more damage. But...errr, I suppose we've gone a bit off the rails since the thread is about Duelist/WM builds and none of these include Duelist latelly.

tried the ranger platform duelist/WM and i did not like it as much. getting the ranger bonuses wasnt enough to replace the insightful strike to me.

Yep, Ranger is better for a STR based WM where you either go R25/WM5 or you go R11/F12/WM7... R25 gets spells, better AC (Protective Ward) bane of enemies and PTWF while R11/F12/WM7 gets Fighter AB/Damage Feats, more feats overall and improved crit range, but spells are easy to dispel, no bane of enemies and only GTWF.

Trying to throw Duelist in there and going from needing ~14/16 DEX, 13/14 INT, and 11-14 WIS with max STR to needing 11-14 DEX, ~20-24 INT and ~28 DEX is really tough. Much easier to get STR to ~24 and have 16 DEX/13-14 INT/11-14 WIS.

EDIT: What MIGHT have some synergy is R13/A10/D7 which would have synergy from Assassin Death Attack and Duelist AC and abilities. Still no synergy with Precise Strike since dual wielding and only gets GTWF, but would have lots of synergy with INT and DEX as well as being a decent sneak and having some situational spells from Ranger and Assassin. Could also go R8/A10/D7/Tempest 5, but loses Camouflage to gain Tempest AB/AC increases. I'd rather have camouflage, it's awesome. It's not a Weapon Master build so not sure it's what you are looking for, but has a lot of the other synergies and is far less feat intensive.

Well, if you can squeeze in the feat, Improved Whirlwind Attack might be something you want to consider. It just increases the radius of whirlwind attack. It could nice bit of flavor as you probably meet the requirements for it.

As for build, I would probably go for Swasbuckler 15/Weapon Master 7/Shadowdancer 3/Tempest 5 myself. Swashbuckler 15 gives that +1 Dodge AC that covers for Duelist Deflection AC. Then Shadowdancer gives us Evasion, which opens up Expose Weakness, and some extra survivability and role-playing opportunities through HiPS.

Part of me is annoyed of the whole 'two-weapon duelist' thing - but then again, I once made a strength based Barbarian 20/Duelist 10 on this server - so who am I to judge?

Have you considered Swash 15 / Rogue 5 / Duelist 10?

I know it's a simple split, but for a high DEX build, Uncanny Dodge is good to have. Not to mention Evasion + Expose Weakness, which makes any high DEX shine brightly. Weakening critical will put most melee foes to shame (unless Immune). Add to this build Athkatkan Triparate or another custom BGTSCC combat mode, and you'll gain some nice AC. Save a Feat or Two for Iron Will, or go Streadfast. Invest in Parry and you'll shame many in 1 on 1 duels.
