Well to be frank I love them, fist time I used the spell when I came back I was like "Wow, that's perfect!" Just from the practical side...just now and I mean like 5 minutes ago I was walking down the road with the spell on and some dwarf character was running in the circle around me, yelling "What in hells!" :D

Sounds like an in character reaction to me! Unfortunately since the dwarf shouldn't see anything it's a very meta / OOC reaction.

I posted similar in QC, but my concern is that there doesn't appear to be a 'right' answer to make this work in an appropriate manner as you might be able to use it in PnP. Thus I would recommend using standard invisibility when alone and maybe only using invisibility 10' when needed in a party for PvE / DM events. Or just send the Dwarf or other players a tell explaining you're invisible, I guess...

Yeah it's an entirely IC reaction, I didn't think this through enough :-/

That said I don't see a good solution. I can make the circle outlining the sphere very thin, maybe flickering and incomplete even, and remove the rainbow colors...

What about party members? Make the graphics of the invisibility sphere invisible for everyone except the party members.

I think that might solve it with just enough compromise.

Seriously, this spell should just be changed to Invisibility 10' Radius. Cast it. All friendlies within 10' gets invisibility as per the 2nd level spell. Characters can then move away from the caster, yet retain their invisibility effects until they break them via other means. Then you don't have to deal with the whole phase in-phase out unlimited HIPS effect the aura-sphere had (and the reason why it was changed all that time ago into something which was, until recently, completely useless) and also can the 'ring' vfx completely.

Also if you want to add a new spell, Valefort, how about Mass Improved Invisibility as a 7th level Illusion? Same as Improved Invis but affects all friendly/party members within 30' of the caster.

It is not possible, or rather I have no idea how to do this. Otherwise that would have been ideal.

This would be quite better than the sphere version ! There's no phase-in/phase out atm btw.

A mass invisibility (not improved, that would be super powerful because of the 50% concealment) could be made easily enough though. Mass Bear's endurance is level 6, and Bear's Endurance is level 2 so a Mass Invisibility could be a level 6th spell.

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/invisibilitySphere.htm

This spell functions like invisibility, except that this spell confers invisibility upon all creatures within 10 feet of the recipient. The center of the effect is mobile with the recipient.

Those affected by this spell can see each other and themselves as if unaffected by the spell. Any affected creature moving out of the area becomes visible, but creatures moving into the area after the spell is cast do not become invisible. Affected creatures (other than the recipient) who attack negate the invisibility only for themselves. If the spell recipient attacks, the invisibility sphere ends.

Once exiting the sphere, it basicly should have it end for you.

Yes, this is not possible to do in nwn2 to my knowledge. If someone can see invisible creatures he sees them all, you can't be selective.

Thanks for the Invis Sphere change :) Guess this is as good as it gets, shame we can't have the rainbows though while it would work intelligently :D But really, thanks :)
