Re: Attacks of Opportunity vs Healer's Kit usage
well that has always been the case, but you still cant attack someone unless that has changed?
ethereal and parry mode and you are still safe, parry mode is to stop you from making AoO and breaking it

Yeah, I asked Valefort--turns out I was mistaken and G. Sanc still can't be attacked through even with True Seeing. It's only Mirrors and Concealment that get bypassed. Woops.

As far as I recall you aren't supposed to be able to take magic effects with you back from the ethereal plane, if they are cast there. That includes ethereal jaunt.

Re: Attacks of Opportunity vs Healer's Kit usage
that would be great if ethereal ends, it does so in a series of instantaneous high CL dispells in a very small AOE.

Re: Attacks of Opportunity vs Healer's Kit usage
On most NWN1 servers, the healing kits have been re-made this way.
You can't use them in combat at all, exept to cure poison. And outside combat, they give you a regeneration based on the healing kit and your healing skill, which lowers your AC by 5 for the duration.

Pump points into tumble until it hits at least 15, preferably 20... then you can move all you want and nobody but lv 30s and bosses will be hitting you.

This suggestion has been through QC a short while ago but was turned down.Randall wrote:On most NWN1 servers, the healing kits have been re-made this way.

What is the problem with heal kits?

They're essentially better than potions not granting AoO to opponents.mrm3ntalist wrote:What is the problem with heal kits?

Are they tho?
I Swear, I keep getting hammered whenever I initiate the heal-kit spam on myself. More often than not (altho this may just be my perception of the amount of times it occours).

I know what you mean! I'm sure the AI 'knows' when you've taken a few hits and makes sure its NPCs roll a few extra 20s.Moltrazahn wrote:Are they tho?

AoO placement is pretty buggy too, I often find myself having to reposition because an NPC caster is able to fire off spells without triggering attacks of opportunity from my PC.

When you use kits I'm pretty sure your char is considered flatfooted to all attacks, losing DEX & Dodge AC categories. I usually don't bother with kits in combat because you only end up taking more damage than you could possibly heal (at least it sure feels that way!).

Re: Attacks of Opportunity vs Healer's Kit usage
As Blackman said you have to invest in it to make it good to use in combat. High heal skill and Heavy armor so you don't rely too heavily on dodge/dex AC. But if you do that, it is very strong.
