So a high level character can occupy one of these areas, where they face no risk and constant reward, farming maybe 50k gp an hour. This being in the upperdark too, so when characters of a more appropriate level enter, they face pvp pressures. After spending five days waiting for an opportunity to explore the areas without tripping over farmers, I gave up.

Did you try, you know... to ask politely "the farmers" to either join them and share the looting? I mean, I speak for myself only but... It's unlikely I demand your kindney in exchange or ask you to cut your hand off for daring to ask me for it.
So now that you finally admit that it'S because you want some of the pie too, rather than it beeing anti RP, did you think that perhaps instead of trying to punish everyone, you should just speak to people?
Talking in a most polite manner gets you far in life while crying gets you a lot of head shakes and frowns.

Sounds like someone is just hating at this point. I have so many meaningful encounters down there and not all of them are PvP pressured at all. If you feel like you have to PvP every damn drow or whatnot that comes along because you are down there that is your problem not theirs. Try using some diplomacy first and see if their chaotic nature says to help your sorry low level ass out or RP something like paying a toll......Instead you look at it like you HAVE TO FIGHT? That is a pretty crappy way to look at it.
There are so many areas on the server if you do not like an area try a different one. Many of the areas are balanced quite nicely and the best loot run is still FAI for surfacers from level 12-30 which happens all the time still so I fail to see why you are complaining about this area....It is the second best area to be in from level 12-20 which is what a surface PC does FAI from.....
Also Kro's is not LOW LEVEL it is CR 16+. Low level is <15 CR. Kro's goes up to CR 18 and then Ograns jumps up to CR25+ from there. It is a mid to high level area and thusly high level PCs very much have reason to be there.

Please do not make assumptions. Let's stick to the question that was raised, that of whether it is reasonable or expected that some areas are so disproportionate to others.

OKay this is false. YOu are now ignoring people to keep your point and I answered it but you failed to READ it.

YOU READ IT NOW?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

What constitutes the loot of FAI? I do not know. I cannot comment on Ograhn's either as I do not know it yet.
What makes the corpse rich areas feel disproportionate is simply the rate at which they respawn loot.

How often can a player loot a corpse or bones? Isn't it limited to twice per reset anymore?

I am told it is every 15 minutes, no limit to how many times in a reset.

So you admit that you know very little of the server yet claim to know what is good for one area based on a small sample size? So basically you are admitting to jumping to conclusions that you make based on your opinion that is not actually grounded in facts after exploring the server and learning what is available before complaining about something?
Look if you need a friend to partner up with and learn the server I am more than happy to help. I am one of those life less people who have tons of time on this server and I am on daily with many PCs of varying levels. I suggest you get to know the server better before posting this. In fact I speak from experience. I was you 4 years ago. We all were at one point. So many can attest to that as well. It takes time to get to know this server it is quite large.

Calodan, we seem to be at a misunderstanding.
I have played on the server a long time, but I do not know the names of loot runs. I know the FAI, but have no idea where it's loot run goes.
Again, please do not assume.

Unlocked corpses and crates are infinitely looted and reset about every 15 minutes or so. These have a RIG chance on them most of it being low tier sell gear. There is an occasional mid tier drop and a even rarer great drop that can happen yes. For the life of me I will never understand how JCVD1 gets gear that good from them but I did find a +3 Dex ring yesterday for my Thayan knight who needed a +3 dex item for his endgame build. So occasionally you get something pretty good that is worthy of auction. This can take about a half week or so if you are there about 2 hours or so a day. I assume JCVD1 has about 3 times that a day to play and thusly since he loots them more he gets hits the chances better. More times tried means better chances to get something great. I am not so lucky. Just about every truly great piece I have was not found outside of a DM event or Hell.

This statement contradicts itself. One can not simply be here a long time and not know the FAI loot run.
Sharpteeth Orc Cave > Gnoll Cave > Trolls > Minotaur Labyrinth > Hag Cave > Haunted Mansion = 20k+ loot run in about an hour of gameplay. It takes a FULL DAY of play down in Kro's to make that on the average.

Calodan, I've played here a long time and I've rarely heard the term. It is a difference in playstyles and goals, not longevity or knowledge.
Please tone down the rhetoric and bring this topic back to the point or it will be locked. QC already commented that they were reviewing.

You may feel it contradicts, yet I have been here since 2010.
Thanks for detailing the route. I know the individual areas very well thank you.
Loot runs are not my thing, but I will do comparison on them then. Spending an hour on your FAI and and hour in Kro's if opportunity arises... I'll post what is found.

Also forgetting if you really want to pick up just the loot, you can:
Go in hill top >kobold's 5 chests >2nd level body, chest >down the rope to 2 chests, body > cave to fai - body, 2 crates, 3 chests, bag > entrance at fai 1 chest.
That's a lot of possible loot for nearly zero risk for another above 5-8 solo, and about 30 mins of running and looting across only 2 surface zones. Do that then the sharptooth run...that's a ton every reset. I picked up a random mithril plate in one of the bodies on this route.
