Quicken is most useful, followed by empower and maximize. Extend is very useful if you can spare the feat.

Invisible needle is nice for an infinite spell to land sneak attack with, but the damage doesn't compete with orbs, obviously.

You want Practiced Spell Caster for +4 to everything related to caster level.

Even an expert wizard player probably wouldn't want to play a wizard with only a casterlevel of 21. Sure HIPS helps avoiding dispels.......

As a new player you should aim at a casterlevel of 30 (or more). Less is doable, but you should know the world here somewhat.

casterlevel being what exactly? spellcraft ? consentration?

really just getting more and more confused, why Kiran's kinda given up on me I know these or 'experienced' class's I know they are going to be hard but thats why I want to invest in a class and really learn it ' learn the monsters first ' I know why I'd like to group up with people. I'm merely getting more and more confused from one person suggest this while another says it's bad. I just want to get my levels and I want to RP THE CLASS, I know the pve/pvp is going to be a butt to do. but the whole reason why I came to nwn2 is to really rp.

Actually it is a fairly popular split. Lots of rogue skills with the benefit of situational spells. However, the execution is off. Here is a starting point if you are interested in Rogue heavy Arcane Trickster.

http://nwn2db.com/build/?269984

Note that you cannot get epic metamagic (auto-quicken) or Epic Spells if you also want Crippling Strike and, by extension Epic Precision (which is the reason to take 10 rogue levels with this build). You have to pick if you want to use invisible needle more often, relying on your 8d6 sneak dice (4d6 vs. crit immune) alongside the spell damage. The other route, which is to stop Rogue at 3 to hit CL28, or to drop Rogue and ShadowDancer and instead take 8 levels of Assassin (which will have CL26). You won't get Epic Precision, but you will have higher caster level and be able to take epic spells and/or auto-quicken. I personally like the Assassin route, but it is a bunch less skill point and also misses out on evasion.

looks a little more tidy and understandable now that it's explained a little more visally, I think when it says 'heavy' meaning armor? I know off topic. But I am more then willing to give this a try (visual learners yay ) for the wizard 'school' I keep coming across that Evocation is a good one for a AT, confirm?

you don't care about saving throws, you are a blaster. Generalist is probably best so that you can learn all the various spells and figure which ones you like. Invisible Needle is your primary attack, which is a 'reserve' feat so as long as you have a spell available from the list, you can use Invisible Needle indefinitely. It doesn't do great damage, but it will apply your sneak attack damage which will make it serviceable.

Heavy was meaning you have more than 3 rogue levels, thus 'rogue heavy' vs. 'wizard heavy' You will wear no armor, lest you want your spells to fail...

Stay a long time. Try ALL builds. No one forces you to stick to 1 character.

Okay one last really weird request more for RP 'alt' to use as develop more for story but still able to be used in pve means.

Looking for maybe a 'fell' paladin or 'divine' like fighter ( FS or something similar if need be) to my understanding clerics can't per their lore. hence the weird question IF one can still be a 'divine' knight like character ( sword and shield ) having some of the magic they can still use but still be 'dark' per say.

In raw, Ex-Paladin
Been thinking of a character (preferred aasimir, but can go human if it's easier) in my head for a week-ish or now, again more for rp and talking to another friend about it. Squiring under his paladin for teachings and the way, but at some point during her teachings stray and slip into temptations for the 'easy' power or was turned in some event/happenings.

But I have no Idea how to go about doing it. As I found a few that looked appealing.

http://nwn2db.com/build/?107807
http://nwn2db.com/build/?119225 ( I know this one will never work without DM tweaking everything but this is the basic Idea)

Would like;
Aasimir / human
Sword&shield
To start with the 'holy' then to the 'dark' as they learn/level
rp oriented but still able to do pve/pvp if I have to
and of course follow BGTSCC rules
