Perhaps, perhaps not... i wonder statistically what the rest of the server thinks? Perhaps a poll should be made?

1 Chest per 9 hours is more then 1 chest per 6 hours?! Guess i have been doing maths wrong..V'rass wrote:Can say its not a nerf but here is how i see it: Statistics don't lie... humans do. Now im not saying you yourself are lying in this matter per say... but if its a choice between looking at statistics or taking the word of a human who might or might not be mistaken i will choose statistics every time. The summons, rp xp, and loot were fine as they were... statistics now clearly show that the changes have made them weaker. If it looks like a nerf and it nerfs like a nerf then its a nerf.

Very good answer but they were arguing over summons...not chests. Either way I think time will tell the truth on it and then we will adjust.Lyna wrote:1 Chest per 9 hours is more then 1 chest per 6 hours?! I concur with Ras as well. It seems fair given the continual updates.Rask wrote:Should honestly just do 100% RCR period for a month once a year just due to all the updates or peoples mistakes on their characters who are epic, spell updates, all the things that accumulate through the year. OT because it kind of bothers me whenever I see this complaint levied: I don't think the xp penalty punishes epics, it seems fair that it's always 10% of the xp needed to level. The most you ever stand to lose 3000xp which can easily be made up in less than a week through either RP, moderate grinding, quest completion, and/or through a DM event. Just to offer some perspective, the NWN1 server I once played on exponentially increased the xp penalty as you advanced levels meaning by the time your char reached say, level 25, all the xp you accrued that level would be lost if your char died meaning you just lost at least a month of effort/time that you'll never get back.V'rass wrote:... Being that i am lv 25 i would prefer not to have to drop back to 20 or less as the xp system on this server punishes epic lvs by default. My time is limited and i do not wish to waste it with grinding back up again.

Can I confirm if storage will be restored during the RCR period? Or will we be able to access storage for deleted characters once it is eventually restored?

Re: 100% RCR..
We'll probably have storage working at least for withdrawing items before the RCR period hits. Given the 20 second module-wide timer we put on it though (to mitigate the severe lag the system is causing currently) it is very likely not going to be plausible to use it to assist with RCRs, especially at times of the day where everyone will be prone to try to use it at once.wangxiuming wrote:Can I confirm if storage will be restored during the RCR period? People will have to rely on the old-fashioned method of having a friend help them mule the gear for this one.

Re: 100% RCR..
Ok cool... I can get a friend mule gear easy enough... but I have some stuff in storage that I'll want to use on RCR. If I can at least pull it out, that'll be something.

Exactly, the loot system is very complex and it's hard to find the right balance.Calodan wrote:Either way I think time will tell the truth on it and then we will adjust.

Re: 100% RCR..
Agreed. With all these constant changes to the server, players can never be sure they characters they have will stay the same, which is quite worrying without 100% RCR periods every now and then. The amount of changes made since last year is staggering and it doesn't look like the developers are done yet.Rask wrote:Should honestly just do 100% RCR period for a month once a year just due to all the updates or peoples mistakes on their characters who are epic, spell updates, all the things that accumulate through the year. Re: 100% RCR..
Your math is a little off. With the current 50% metric you drop a lot of XP as an epic. Keep in mind that going from level 20-30 is the same amount of XP from level 1-20, and XP gain is much slower after 20. It is very painful to have to re-grind any epic levels, especially if you are (like me and others.) a person who works a busy job and has obligations outside of the game which would prevent you from easily regaining those levels. Just because it takes one person a week to grind that much XP doesn't mean it takes us all that much time. I took me several months to get my current character to 21 for example. Some of us would rather use our limited time in game RPing than endlessly grinding.Heretic wrote:I concur with Ras as well.
