My tip:
Decide on a character concept you want to play and post it, then I am sure a lot of people could offer you opinion from deducing what mechanics could make it come alive.
It also helps to define the persona, in turn making roleplay a lot easier/fun on everyone.
For now all we know is that you want something elven/drowish, possibly a cleric, wizard or a dexer something.
Thats like going to the store saying you want to buy a meal mostly from the grocery department, the answers you get will be equally vague and realistically not very often what you actually wanted to play/eat in the first place.
Ex: "I want to play a nimble elven or drow dancer, when cornered the being prefers to hide in the shadows to draw trusty daggers before letting the enemy have it.
The being lacks the ability to naturally cast magic, but is prone to fake it by making use of consumables and wands. Also I vision it capable of running while under stealth when exploring caverns. Any tips on how I can achieve what I want?"
