At least you don't have to pay 50k for replacement spells! :D

Well until the DMs and the server come out and say that they are correcting this oversight I will hold off. I always make sure to take domains allowed. So will wait for an official announcement on that.

I'm not convinced other players see it this way, nor are their characters necessarily able to determine such. I only say this because PC's often react negatively towards summoned shadows, and their summoners...

Which is only natural seeing as shadows normally are chaotic evil undead trying to suck the lifeforce out of the living ;)

Thank you! :)
The server does not have every single domain you can have in pen and paper. Thus when the domain rules were first implemented there were several deities with very limited selection of domains. Some had none, others one, or just two. Thus to make sure that all deities actually had some domains to choose from, deities were given domains that were close enough.

Now, in the case of Selune, the official domains are: Chaos, Good, Moon, Protection, and Travel - and back then Selune would have only had the following: Chaos, Good, and Protection. The Moon domain had not been implemented yet, and the Travel domain had been removed entirely. Thus, because moon comes up when it is dark, Selune got the Darkness domain, which at the time did not even have the domain spells that it currently does...

It may seem like an error, but it is not. Moreover, you do not have to use spells you do not want to use.
