That is the one or the other, you cannot take both alignment classes at once: Anointed Knight and Knight of Darkness. That is why he put the 10 at the end of both.

Anointed Knight (Good alingment) and Warrior of Darkness (Evil Alignment) are basically one and the same PRC. Maybe I should have written it something like this instead:

"Fighter 12 / Anointed Knight||Warrior of Dorkness 10 / Frenzied Berserker 5 / Bodyguard 3"

I was having similar build debates (see Sneaky Kabong) and settled on a hin ranger. I think you want more of a straight up melee rather than stealth though, but there's some good nuggets of wisdom in there from the gang.

If you're set on going spear, consider taking Duelist to 10: spear qualifies for Precision Strike, giving you +2d6 damage at the end. I don't think it works with Flourish, but you can take advantage of the other Duelist class feats fairly well. Barbarian 20/Duelist 10 could be a good option.

Alternatively, you could focus on straight-up STR. Something with FB 5 maybe. Or use Northlander Hewing.

I'd personally stray away from crit dependency stuff like Weapon Master. The spear itself isn't a great weapon statistically.

Barbarian 20/Duelist 10 could get +5 Deflection from 30 skill ranks in Parry, the Duelist getst that self Haste, and if you get Steadfast Determination and Standard Rage, I think you have a are pretty solid build in the long run.
