Re: Why do people still use fames name from, books or movies
I imagine the DM / Admin who refused the name based it on the fact that "Skywalker" is a well-known surname from a modern-era science fiction space opera. The name's too unique and recognizable; using that surname carries with it implications and connotations that the PC is related to that particular fantasy story, which could be considered an unfair advantage or immersion breaking to the playerbase.
You can't be "Luke Skywalker." But we have a "Luke Darius," and that name's perfectly legal.

Arthur is not a banned name Lock. TS has the right of it, DM's would be hard pressed to enforce such a thing since you could also say thousands of other names that are used for one character or another. It's easy to say "Drizzt" is not acceptable as it's not a common name and synonymous with a specific FR lore character. Disallowing common human first names is a bit more difficult to enforce.

Arthur is a common name in many cultures just like Alexander or Peter for example. No need to be paranoid about itLockonnow wrote:chad878262 how many movies has the name Arthur been ind ?

I understand that your rant is all about your blocked Skywalker surname. I personally don't think that blocking this surname was a right decision. But it doesn't mean that you are right blaming everyone here for their character names.Lockonnow wrote:KOPOJIbPAKOB you dont get my point do you? there is a way of speech and dont take you know it, but it is a king's name

Alexander was a step bigger than a king...he was an emperor.
