That is the one I use lol. That is shockingly easy. But I also have no clue how to get back to the surface from that one short of a server reset haha

There's a bug that allows you to get to south Sshamath in about 90 seconds from Darkhold.

The zhent guard in thier UD outpost will take you back to the surface if you ask him.But I also have no clue how to get back to the surface from that one short of a server reset haha

Interesting...I was just told it was one way lol. Okay. Was not one way last i passed through but that was before the update so who knows.

cr8 and two dungeons is too easy, imho.
i was a bit crestfallen when i discovered how very easy it was a couple days ago.
should be more like cr15 at the hardest dungeon, surround by 14 to get in from the surface, and a cr12 coming from the underdark, with true sight mobs in the cr 15 and 14.

What if we moved the Zhent caravan NPC inside the Zhent guild. Would that make the majority happy?

The "go to underdark" option definitely doesn't feel like it should be appearing on the caravan npc that is visible to the public.
Basically, the location of the NPC is fine, but I think the travel to UD should be only available to the Zhentarim.

Go to rockrun. Lots of merchants there. Problem solved, live out your life in the UD.
Yes, it's way too easy to vacation under the surface. Upperdark maps should realistically all be blacked out. Also could have traps that random blind/stun/shrink/kill you, and have the traps respawn on transition or time interval.
In fact, include way more high level traps, making rogues useful again, (if i went to the UD I would definitely bring my rogue friend to go ahead and step on, ahem, disarm, the traps)
Stronger monsters, (IE nothing under 20+CR in upperdark and kos rules in the upperdark that go both ways, well, all ways...the underdark is not a place for children.
To top it off, any route that remains open to the UD could also be subject to random outpouring of monsters from the UD raiding the surface. After all, how difficult would it be to follow some hapless surfacer back? And the laughably defended zhent outpost? Destroyed regularly.

I am however speaking as someone who's been mildly frustrated to find the former is a thing because the latter is not a viable option due to RP reasons, but wants to actually explore the Upperdark.
But then I think in that other thread you did mention a way in through one of the troll caves, so...I guess I'll have to take a look-see.

It is not a cakewalk, however, but you can make it through with a ++ character. Easier with a party.
