Chionthar east then Thundar's ride, no need to go through the east farmlands.

I didn't see Baldur's Gate in that list. And that's the only one that counts.

Some places they allowed these things, others they didn't. No-one is suggesting that weapons have to be put away in Roaring Shore, for instance.

Masks I can understand people having problems with. But weapons?

so i say no, until there s a way to get to thundars ride from the kobold ruins without having to go through the eastern farmlands, maybe teleport points a la beregost.
No, they're entirely bypassable.

There are few more transitions that has been added by valefort.

You can go from soubar to nashkel easily without ever walking by FAI or BG. Same applies to kobold ruins.

ill have to find them.

in that case.. ...yeah, npc guads... ..except they cant be around the spawn, or somebody might spawn in with weapons equipped, take a long load time, and get arrested. thats probably why there arent any already.

i had this problem at wyrms crossing a few time, had my helmet on, ready to goto kobold ruins... ...oops, i guess the helm is a mask. almost arrested while loading. and wyrms crossing is a bit problematic, because if you rest before transition, and you have int/cha/wis or spell slots helm/mask, you lose them, or have to camp at the kobold ruin entrance, which spawns kobolds sometimes.

Guards in the farmlands would be really annoying. I'd rather had a guard in the FAI courtyard but we all know that will never happen for the same reason.

I gotta say the response is incredibly disappointing.

The idea was to enforce behavior specific to the area and reduce guard/npc godmoding. In ONE zone where it was appropriate, and where said behavior happens very often.

You know - simple stuff like respeciting the lore that is supposed to be important on RP server.

ALso, it is a starting location, so logging in after, I don't know, properly researching server rules and law on the land and seeing someone who flat out ignores them with no consequences - this stuff doesn't create positive impression.

What's the problem with guards yelling at you ? You unequip weapon and/or helmet and he leaves you alone. At worst you go to jail for 2 minutes and you won't do it again. The guards near the graveyard will leave you alone but otherwise it is a good idea.

The guard at Thundar's Ride entrance could tell you to sheathe your weapon now, since everything is safe there, without necessarily putting you in jail for it, just reminding you.. etc.

I'd be all for it if they did not throw you in jail. Same with adding a stationary guard at the FAI to yell at people about masks/weapons. Many people don't know jail only lasts two minutes as I do not think this is posted anywhere. Not really sure how to even get out myself. I have spent 10+ minutes in there before and simply decided to log out for the day as punishment for going afk with a weapon in hand while loading.

Iirc the door was locked and it kept telling me to wait even after the ten minute mark. This was a long time ago though. I still think it would be a good idea to leave an ooc tip about it somewhere in game.
