I am also getting the error message. So, is this a fairly widespread problem at the moment ?
Is Steve's "fix" more or less the best option, or is something more official in the works ?

my games saying error that a bg_S1.tlk is downloaded but cant be verified, and to contact the administrator.
please help, new player and eager to get into a RP baldurs gate server.

Hello!
Sorry i tried to connect and it didnt work. All my update are ready to download, but it stop and a message appear saying 'it cant be verified' and i wrote a message to the email adress '
[email protected]' but no answers..., i didnt play for a couple of month, maybe its that, just want to know why and play again !!

Not sure where to put this but I can't get in since it doesn't verify the tlk file *pout*

You should have a Neverwinter Nights 2 folder within your user account's document folder. So if you are using Windows 10:
Your PC > Documents > Neverwinter Nights 2 > TLK, and you can just place the "bg_S1.tlk" file there, and just delete the ".lzma" file of the same name.

it tells me bg-s1.tlk was downloaded successfully but it cant be verified please help so belgar drunkaxe can come back! XD

Once downloaded, you just move it to your Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/tlk folder, and it should work for you after you close out and restart the game!
Should be able to get the file from here, it's a problem that'll be solved in the next update. If the file doesn't work post again and I'll try to send you one or something.
