recommend you both take the discussion to the hdms/ admins rather than hashing out in the public forums.

I am not one for being negative. And yes it is wrong that someone would steal something (I lost a 60k dagger once).
But we all have to be careful if we "mule". Muling is not NOT allowed, but neither is it encouraged. We have the ability to place things (or did? Dunno, never used it, never trusted it) on certain merchants for RCR. It's not there to push items around from one character to a completely different one.
Do I mule? Heck yes, only because it isn't against the rules to do.
If the team can track certain items, fantastic. But there has to be a burden of responsibility when dropping it, especially in the Nexus and a level of expectation that it might not be there when you return.
I am truly sorry to hear what happened, and I know I waited a LONG time to post, but there it is.
Now thieves... and I dont mean the RP ones. These guys should be handled and let known this is not accepted. Because it is a prick maneuver. But then again... it could have been someone who just deleted everything and not taken it, just to be "that guy".

Reminds me of the time on this full pk MUD I used to play where someone I was grouping with said he had to AFK to use the restroom. When he came back I told him I had to do the same, but I returned to him looting my corpse.. :-/

I always ask if a friend can help transfer items for this very reason.

I only RCR/Mule in Nexus when I have the new character made previously so that it is only a matter of logging in and out. Oh, and I usually park both characters next to the campfire.
If Nexus is crowded, I go to Soubar. So many batches of tall grass, so many corners no one has reason to look for.
Or you know, just ask someone to hold the items with few screenshots taken.

I go to the storage merchant, disguise as something simple like "transfer" and dump my items in storage, jump back to nexus and do the rcr. New character then withdraws the items at his leisure.

That's no longer something we can rely on since last week or so they put out a system wide notice that they will be disabling the disguise ability with storage due to weird things like lost characters and server crashes.

A couple of things:
1) can anyone confirm if it is a new thing, or a long-time-existing thing, that when someone near your toon puts out a campfire, the Chat Log records it?
2) has it always been that Removing a Campfire from Stealth, breaks stealth?
3) In the Nexus, Invisibility cannot be used, as in, cannot be cast? Thus, NO INVISIBILITY in the Nexus, yes?
Thanks.
