I actually like the feats a lot on my Shapechanging Gish. It helps to lenghten the mileage out of a single level ine spell slot and makes all the forms considerably more useful. I do not think that a Spirit Shaman would get the same benefit though, as they could just cast extended Regenerate for roughly similar if not better end result.

And noting prevents that melee character with Epic Fast Healing from using those vampiric weapons either.

I roll with fast healing 1. There's a noticeable difference when running around where I don't have to worry about my hps regening in a timely manner. I have a balance of high AC, acceptable damage production and regening that feels like I can handle most situations alone and if things go sideways, that extra free regening keeps me alive long enough to get my ass outta there.

fast healing has synergy with spellcasting, EDR is at odds. It was worth it when it was 21, 23, 25 CON, its become two free feats or stat adjustments with the lowering of the reqs.

20 regen with 55 AC and 50 AB isn't underpowered

Also, you can kite to heal with Fast Healing. I've used it extensively on faster builds to good effect. Personally I like the feats a lot on various builds.
