I have always found it troubling that the height for gnomes and halflings have been almost purposefully adjusted so that their faces, will often face the crotches of the half-orcs, humans and now elves. I would be infinitely more comfortable talking to another players waist or, the top of their thighs, than my current state of conversing with their junk.
I tend to roll my Gnomes and Hin fairly small- reason being, I find they are more proportionate at a smaller size. Do the tall gnomes/hin have the same, 'junk facing' issue that I do?
What's the best hieght to avoid crotch conversing?

Hm, never thought Fire Genasi to have a height of a half-orc. It is interesting thing to know.

taller drow! Please. They're way too short! A tall drow should be able to match the size of a small human.

As I remember, they are thin and black version of dwarves, but not taller one (unless using racial Enlarge)

there's a source drawing, of all the dwarves. it shows duergar as shorter and thinner. likely why they use enlarge person ability. height and bulk envy

That's why they weren't changed, they're supposed to be short.
You are wrong. Elves should be as tall as humans, which is now correct, and drow should be as tall as elves were before the change, which has yet to be fixed.
Or you could leave them as they are, which makes it even easier for players to metagame them by their height difference.

Metagaming?
If you meet an unusually short and generally slim person in an area surrounded by trolls, ogres, undeads, bugbears and various other dangerous beings, is it more likely it's a preteen human, or a magically and/or martially competent drow?
Excessively thin dwarf, maybe?
Very, very tall gnome!

It's obviously a hin under the effects of an enlargement spell.

Very, very tall gnome!
It can only be a drow, since:
- everyone can tell PCs apart from NPCs by checking the player list;
- we know which races are playable on BGtSCC;
- we know drow are the only race from that list with that particular height and limb proportion.
Therefore, it can't be anything else contained in any of the myriad D&D manuals.
But it isn't metagaming.

That drow is stepping forward doing a lunge. Its only the perspective making it look shorter.
#drowsuperiority = better fitness regime
