Idk about 1 million gold for a 100% rcr token, but I could get down with a a single 100% rcr a year (to max of level 30).

The current system is in my mind completely fair as it is. Your first 10 levels are yours to play with and get a feel for a character. The penalty after that isnt so bad, The only people who really have to work for it are lvl 30s and even then you are still placed at a level which is perfectly acceptable to play with.
You're misunderstand the OP's suggestion. An RCR token refers to a 100% RCR. They're something that DMs might do for players whose characters have gone through large changes due to an update that warrants the full rebuild and other circumstances, etc. the OP's suggestion however is not something that is forcing anyone to have to pay to RCR, so if anyone wanted to, they still could with the usual 50%/lvl 20 cap involved. What's suggested is paying 1million gold to receive a full 100% character rebuild. I personally don't fully agree with a full RCR for coin, but I can see the need for another gold sink.

Only time you really NEED to RCR
- Complete Dev change (I.E Expose weakness rework)
- Game breaking bug
Other than that there is no need really. DM can delevel you if you pick a wrong feat or if you accidently pick the wrong class for say 3/20 rule. With all the tools available to you to pre build your character or test a build in the JEGS module the only reason to have a 100% RCR is "I cant be bothered leveling again" and that seems like a personal problem NOT a server problem.

The 100% RCR period was the one thing that brought me back to play (combined with lots of sweet new content). I suppose that could be perceived by some to be harmful.
Seriously though, I don't think I'm the only old geezer it brought back to take new content for a spin, and start RPing again.

The problem with 100% RCR period... Is that it allows you to grind quest Experience for much faster level up. Create a new character with access to invisibility and it can do a large number of quests at almost 0% risk even with zero equipment. Wait for reset, RCR, do quests, wait for reset, RCR, do quests...

OH MY GURD that is incredibly slow and stupid just to do quests.......I would not even call that a cheat. Cheats make it easier. That is not easier........

I have to agree with Calodan here. That would be incredibly sad, really, and I remember laughing about the idea with another player back when the 100% rcr was active.
Now, that can't have been what Planehopper was referring to, surely.

Dude, if you ever actually attempted to do that, you'd know that by running quests every day, you'll start losing sanity by day three or four and that's just once per day. It is incredibly slow and inefficient, and pretty much last ditch attempt to recover an RP build that can't fight anything and can't find a party.

The reason why 100% RCR is a good thing is because you can roll a new concept without all the pointless grinding. People often don't have the time to go through the whole 1..21 or 1..30 journey again.

You do not have to carefully go through your build, beyond picking Expeditious Retreat and Invisibility. You can just click next to level up. And you do not have to mule equipment. You just pop down into the server, and in one to two hours, you have gained 5-10k quest experience depending on which quests you do. You can probably do it at least twice every single day. A month of 0 risk grinding and you got yourself a level 30.

You can get to 30 in one month without this trick.
Quests will driver you nuts very quickly.

So? I ran the quests many times myself. As a result now I have a dream of permanently murdering every surface quest giver in the most brutal manner possible.
Person who'll try to level that way will go nuts and plain old grinding is faster anyway. The XP gain rate is bad.
So the idea of easily getting level 30 this way is laughable.

Right now the combat has increased maximum xp, so it should be doable, but it'll be unenjoyable fulltime job, pretty much.
Still more probable that questmash. Questmasher would end up in an asylum.
