Part of the reason I will likely never ever roll a wizard- it's already ridiculously expensive to be one, gods forbid you ever have to RCR.

I believe those are the 'teleport' related spells, which are a massive advantage for whoever has them. You can get from one edge of the server in just one area transition. Not to mention that with the right spell you can cut down the time it takes to go through many maze like areas. You can skip a river, you can pop on the other side of a cave system. These are in no way necessary spells, they are more like ease of life and convenience, and therefore a gold cost on them is not unreasonable.

Wrong. There are several spells with 10k or 20k cost per cast. Check the spellbook.

Also you get tired and need rest. Which means need food and board, or equipment to make board.

There's much more important matter to discuss:

Elves need to poop!

Failure to use the latrine at designated time should result in a fortitude roll, and upon failed save the target shoudl fail from septic shock due to ruptured intenstines... and then detonate, dealing HD * d6 damage in collosal area surrounding the target.

In the name of realism.

No complaints about fortitude roll, explosion and collosal damage in vicinity? Good.

I really don't want to play the Sims and make my little toon on the screen eat, poop, sleep, go to work, to the gym, watch T.V. etc... If you want that, there is a game for it...
Hidden: show
It's called the Sims
Mac said it well and it is what attracts me and many others to the server. Our limited play time is spent killing monsters, RP'ing with others, and trying to get the next shiny. It is not spent telling a set of pixels when they need to take a dump. Which would be only slightly more entertaining then needing to manage the cost in comparison to potential gain for each spell cast, each swing of a sword, etc...

I mean I wouldn't mind moving stronger towards the simulative aspect of the game. It'd force people to adventure the way I enjoy adventuring, providing me with higher guarantee of satisfaction.

But I realize most folk aren't very keen on such so don't try to force it.

Yeah, and people need to keep in mind that this is a simplified abstraction and not a fantasy sim.

There was a joke about that.

"In D&D elephants can jump at their victims from the top of the trees. This is why dwarves are short and hate forests".

This joke is true.

D&D elephant has 30 strength, and as a result gets +10 to both jump and climb modifiers.

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/elephant.htm
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/climb.htm
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/jump.htm

This means they can effortlessly perform a 3 meter running jump, effortlessly jump 3 feet up, and climb any surface with ledges on it. They also have 50% chance of making a 6 meter jump (20 feet). Think about it for a moment.

This stuff happens because this is an abstraction to facilitate an RP environment, without going nuts about it. It was not ever intended to be a fantasy sim.

P.S. Fear the elephants.

Should full plate armor have a daily upkeep cost and require a second pc to help you equip it

We have rules for equipping armor. You can equip plate solo by taking extra time.

CBA to find the rules detailing armor equip/unequip.

Realism and pen-and-paper mechanics take a backseat here sometimes, but ultimately we want players to feel like their free time here is being (mostly) spent in productive, enjoyable, and meaningful ways.
You know, all that necessary grinding, that feels a lot like a chore, its generally not a very efficient use of one's time, not very productive and enjoyable, and I'm sure it bothers many, so would with all due respect - would you kindly remove it?

So basically what you're saying is that you're mostly catering to "casual gamers" and to those that actually have a life. ;) And here I thought the mix between PnP and NWN2 set in FR was to give it more depth. ;)

Add that to the list you'll need for starting your own PW.
