Unequipping an item or resting turns it on or off. For example, if you rest with your weapon off and then you equip it, the Dervish AC will be off.
If you had the Dervish AC on, when you use Dervish Dance it turns it off, and when the duration ends it turns it back on again.
If the Dervish Ac was off, when you use the skill it turns it on and then back off again when the duration ends.
