According to the Wiki:

"A weapon two sizes larger than the character can be wielded two-handed only with the monkey grip feat. "

So if Hins are small, but a Falchion is Large...that should work! But we NEED confirmation.

So... derp?

My concern here is still being able to cheeze-wield a large sized weapon. I don't know how/if that will even work with monkey-grip.

Yeah it's possible with Monkey grip but that shouldn't be necessary, there should be hin Crusaders with a two-handed short sword, for Arvoreen !

Well, if Monkey Grip does work as advertised, and you can 2H a greatsword...that needs to be seen.

But in your build, as a Crusader, you get no spells, so drop Extend and Practised, and take Steadfast Determination and Imp. Power Attack. Also, drop Weapon Focus Greatsword—you get that for free. Choose Luck of Heroes.

Also, drop WIS to 13 at creation, and leave it there. Take those 2 points and put in DEX to 12, so if you use a Mithral full plate, you can utilize a Cat's Grace Potion for extra AC. Or, stick with DEX 10 and put into INT so you can get some points in Tumble (you need 14, burning 28 Skill points).

Made a test toon, applied the kit, and he can in fact wield a large sized weapon. I'll try making a proper toon later and dump the XP into him to see what happens.

Small races get +1 AB, Monkey Grip allows them to use large weapons (such as Greatswords) at -2 AB. Therefore, a halfling who uses a greatsword is at -1 AB compared to a human of same strength modifier. Well, -2 since you kind of have to factor in -2 strength racial modifier. This difference is not that massive to be honest.

I once had a Halfling Barbarian 20/Dragonslayer 10... with 40~ strength.

I got my hin up and running, the Crusader kit seems to be working fine so far. One strange thing I noticed is that i was able to bring up his spellbook and memorize two 1st, two 2nd, and a 3rd level spell... is this normal? I thought the spellbook would be disabled or something?

Umm... he can cast spells just fine. :? I tried cure light wounds, bless weapon, then memorized burning and disrupting strike, all of which worked.

I also just noticed something... when wielding his weapon of choice(falchion), he doesn't get his Crusader shield AC defense bonus:
Weapon defense
When wielding his weapon of choice and using a medium or heavy armor the Crusader gains +1 shield AC. This bonus increases to +2 at 12th level, +3 at 17th level, +4 at 22th level, +5 at 27th level, +6 at 29th level. Crusader defense only applies when you've got nothing in your off-hand, it is also shield enhancement bonus so no stacking with a shield spell. You must wear a medium or heavy armor for weapon defense to take effect.
... I can only assume he's not going to get the bonus because I made him a 2-hander :|

Did select Crusader or Cavalier? The two kits are different.

Crusader.

Spells are totally working, and the shield AC is totally not. He's level 12... which I think makes him 1 Paladin/11 Crusader if I understand kits correctly. His AC is 29 without a weapon equipped, and it should normally jump to 30 with his weapon of choice equipped due to the crusader bonus... but a 2H weapon counts as being in the off-hand. So...

Perhaps another RcR is in his future :| (I've already lost 4 levels RcR'ing thus far, wooo...)

I just tested it and the spells are, correctly, not working. Are you sure yours are ?

And the Crusader defense works as well .. did you perhaps keep the same name while RCRing ?

Went on the server to exterminate some poor monsters on a crusader paladhin and it works correctly.

The thing above is with lawful sword and EDM activated, but it doesn't exactly need to have everything on to slaughter things :D

Your Hin uses a longsword (medium weapon size) instead a regular large weapon.
Is that intended for small races, so they dont need Monkey Grip and have different weapon options like scimitar and rapier for the crusader kit?

Crusader kit can use any weapon that can be two-handed, not necessarily a large weapon. I see that the description in the wiki is wrong, my bad.

The possible choices actually are taking into account small races, here's the list :

Club
Morningstar
Quarterstaff
Spear
SHort sword
Rapier
Scimitar
Longsword
Greatsword
Battleaxe
Greataxe
Halberd
Warhammer
Scythe
Katana
Bastard sword
Dwarven waraxe
Falchion
Warmace

There's just no point in picking something you can't two-hand.
