Re: toggle hostile group button
It's an unfortunate unfixable issue with what NWN2 does to handle hostile flagging.

Re: toggle hostile group button
Without such a function pvp between parties is not working at all. If you ever have played pvp, you maybe noticed that until you looked who is around and who is your enemy and who you have to set hostile, you are probably killed. I know all that should happen before the fight starts, but it is impossibble to set someone hostile, who is hiding in the shadows and disguised.
So I am all up for the "setting everyone in the area without my friends hostile button".
Edit: But if I am honest, even with that function implemented there are problems, like you would oocly know that a sneak is around and you are outnumbered. For me pvp is no fun here at all. It is just much to imbalanced and the engine is broken. My former NeverwinterKnights community tried to transfer the pvp-modul from nwn1 to nwn2. There were high hopes, but it was not doable because of the broken NWN2 engine.
Setting hostile is an ooc function and doesn't mean you have to go for pvp. If you char is standing close to someone who is getting into trouble with another char or a party, you are actually on board. I think as long as you are around, you are automatically a threat and therefore have to be set to hostile, so that area spells (those onyl vs hostile targets) work. Not being set hostile is cheating. Who don't want to pvp, shouldn't be there or run if he is fears he get attacked.Valefort wrote:Erm, are you all sure about this ? There are many situations where some people in the group don't actually want to take part in a PvP, I see more problems than solutions with such a button.
