Invoker, I was meaning holding the sacrifice and then transporting them to the altar. Both would have problems due to the interpretation, since the wards have been interpreted to also stop hurting people before it happens.

Point of interest here. The tannarukk racial description at character creation places them at the bottom of the ladder concerning rights (specifically saying their rights in Sshamath are beneath duergar and even svirfneblin). On a side note, they're described as effective slave handlers which may make a good BGTSCC legal angle to play l'Orbb Glennen tannaruk PCs from (hired to keep NPC House thralls in line)
