If you want all three PRCs to be included, I think Cleric 9/Hospitaler 4/Warpriest 4, (or Clr10/WP 3 split if calvinus wants to only take 3 levels of warpriest like in the nwn2db page) should grant 7th level spellcasting at lvl 17 which should leave 3 levels for Hierophant to be taken to abide 3b20 rule right?
It would end up Cleric 9/Hospitaler 9/Hierophant 8/Warpriest 4, It should be the same CL with the build you have posted; 24(28 with the practiced spellcaster.)
But I agree on taking both hospitaler and warpriest puts you in a hard spot with low CL.
One build I had fun with in the past was a monk/sacred fist/cleric/hierophant build. Kind of a headache to level up at times but I think in the end it paid off the effort. Can function without wearing armor, 32 CL, has blast infidel to do 300/150 damage Harm. Scribe Runes also gives a bit more flexibility on spellcasting.

Apparently there's a bug whereby only base-class spellcasting will qualify for Warpriest (ie Clr 7), at least according to the nwn2 wiki. PRC spell progression will not help qualify for its 4th level cleric casting requirements. I'm not sure if that bug was patched on BG.

Illegal build. Hierophant requires level 7 spells. You have cleric9/warpriest3/hospitaler3 before taking hierophant. That means 11 levels of progression, which is spell level 6.
I would suggest picking either hierophant or warpriest - not both - as chad also suggested.
calvinus wrote:Is there a way to optimize this build better in terms of DCs for evocation? Am I trying to do too much here? Also, thoughts on exchanging the 8 charisma for 8 strength? I don't mind this RP wise, but mechanically will it be particular a bad move?
Well, if you're not going for the monk build, you're going to be wearing a full plate armour and a shield. That is heavy to carry around. That's why I put 14 strength into the original one. If you don't want to play 8 charisma, you can probably get away with 12 strength/10 charisma. Or maybe you have access to a 90% weight reduction full plate?

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't know how hiero even worked, so great education on that lol!
This is what I am thinking in final then that is legal! Cleric12/WP10/hierophant8!

Any thoughts on any poor choices here mechanically in terms of a high DC cleric?

You need STR 14. You will find that a cleric needs to turn to melee a lot of the time.
I will advise to invest on Taunt on WP levels. Most of the time you will run without the short term buffs so your cleric will have AB in the mid/upper 30s. Taunt, when it works, will give you +2AB. It is a good party debuff and again the WPs Aura helps as well.
At this point, that build is good all around. Any optimization from this point will be based on your playstyle and you will be able to figure it out.

Out of curiosity, how much taunt is "enough" on our server as a skill? It's going to be tough to get more than 16 without sacrificing other skills that would be nice to have for RP!

Why not Divine champion. He gets 5 extra feats, 4 of which can be used post 20, this means another +4 to Wisdom? For most spells CL is not important, because all DC compound of spell level + modifiers? This is much better than WP. Even with 6 levels of DC its extra feat and +2 WIS

Divine Champion does not give spellcasting progression. C20/DC10 would only be CL24, so even with +4 Wisdom the DC's are a wash (CL26 and 29 would give +1 spell DC each), meanwhile you can be dispelled rather easily so not worth it.

So what is the better PrC to put in here for the same basic effect, I assume Hospitaler? (or maybe Heirophant though that seems more "castery" (just made that up)).

The ask was for a DC Casting cleric. For that I think either Cleric/Hospitalar/Hierophant or Cleric/War Priest/Hierophant are the best options.

Monk4/cleric26. I mentioned it already. But i also made one just yesterday. Spell domain is THE WIN.

I assume you say this for a specific build? Because nothing is be better than Wails on a DC cleric ( hatred domain )

Anyspell and Greater Anyspell, man! Mirror image, spiderskin, ima, invisibility, haste. All the sub-level-5 mage buffs! Of course, at some cost, since the spells are level 5 (for level 2 mage or lower) and 8 (for level 5 mage or lower), respectively. But just having access to those is super amazing.
