What about the frost giants, trolls and all the other epic level areas? Would they really keep rags, basic arrows, bolts, bullets and well I think you get the point. There is a lot of junk in the loot system. If you try and do the right thing and keep everything you get from drops until you can dispose of them properly, this not only takes up time you take the chance of filling up you inventory to the point that you start dropping thing do to a full inventory. I know what your going to say, just put it in the fire. I say to you, do we really need all those useless items in the loot system. I think it would be better to up the gold amounts and do away with a good bit of the junk!chambordini wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 6:54 amWell obviously the hilltop kobolds are left poor after being raided so many times, so yes, they only have scraps left.

While I cede your point - there are some worthless items - why not just leave them in the chest or loot container where you found them? With the exception of kill loot, there is no reason to take what you don't want.
On the topic of loot in general it would be awesome to get some variety, certainly, but I don't know how to do the work involved. Things like trade goods (silk bolts, incense, medical supplies, etc) and a wider variety of gems and jewels would make the looting experience more fun and rewarding perhaps. Some reskinned placeables, additional books, and other things with RP value would be welcomed.
None of that would prevent laziness, though, and that's the main point. If you pick something up, throw it in a container or burn it.

I only take loot that I know will sell because my STR score is abysmal. xD
Also, the loot all function has never worked properly for me, so I always end up having to individually select the loot to take anyway.

Constant and chronic littering can get you severally punished on the other server i been playing on. They say one person was even banned for doing it as the lag and annoyance it created constituted griefing according to the dms there.

Re: Litterbugs!!!! Shame on you!!!
I'm not tryin' to be rude here. Truly.
If there's a problem with items that are truly worthless (spoons, empty ale bottles, broken items, quivers/bullet bundles that are 0gp to merchant, steins, etc) then why are they still in the loot table?
I'm all for throwing things away that are warranted, but damn it, I fully loot the chest I find in the dungeon (so the next person does NOT have to deal with my garbage) only to find out that NUPE, the merchant doesn't want the stupid bottle I just carried 150 miles in-game. That's just irkin' me. That point, I just toss it on the ground. Now if that JUNK (and that's exactly what it is) wasn't there, then there'd be no issue.

*tinfoil hat on*
I believe the recent increase littering is due to this post as if people doing it more and more just to make others angry at this point. Leftover remains were always there but littering around the merchants I haven't seen the likes of the past a couple of days, ever.

Does littering even cause lag here? I thought I read somewhere that our developers figured out a way so that it doesn't.
I could be completely wrong though.

Littering doesn't cause lag, it's certainly ugly and annoying though.
