I've had the same experience. Items sold returned, items purchased gone. Luckily I hadn't bartered. XP missing. It seems that character save events may have been changed/corrupted? Is there an issue with the character being saved on exit from the game? Do we need to rest or manually save?

You guys are basically overwriting yourselves. The server's not doing any rollbacks.

Are you RCRing characters into the same name?

This is probably what's causing your issue if so. Looking at just one of you right now, I see you have 5 versions of your main character in your account.

We'll be doing a clean-up script for this, and in the meantime I can make admin interventions for those of you having problems, but basically the more often you overwrite your own character, the less likely you are to have your data "saved." It's still there, but because your name is the same as the other version, only one version is showing in your vault at a time.

To prevent this from happening in the future, when RCRing:

1) Do not RCR into the same name. Use a new name, even if it's just a minor adjustment. Like if I'm "Maecius" I might RCR into "Maecisu."
2) Wait for at least one full server reset to occur.
3) Ask a DM to "fix" your name (e.g. back to "Maecius").

Then you should be good to go.

After asking a DM to revert our characters to their original names, will they be able to access the persistent storage as usual?

Hello all,

I have the same issue - spent a lot of time to level (i did not do a RCR) and lost it all on login this morning.

I also lost the items i equipped last night (and they are NOT in the merchant storage).

I saved and exported my character.

Can we get a refund?

Is the server fixed?

Oddly it seems only my character was affected, the items that i PUT into storage last night are still there but the new stuff i took out of storage and equipped are gone.

Cosmic, as I understand it, once your name matches the auction name, you should be good to go. As long as you RCR'd onto the same game user account name.

From my experience, your RCRed character with the same name CAN use the persistent storage, but NOT the auctioneer.

My character got rolled backed too. Even after resting and logging out.

When I logged in today, saw that my character was rolled back as well. Looks like the last one hour of my last session on Sunday seems to be lost (both items and XP).

It's an RCRed character, but I did it in line with 'best practices' i.e. different name etc.
